AstoncarterJob Title: Marketing Analyst Job Description The temporary Marketing Analyst role supports commercial initiatives by analyzing data, generating insights, and developing reports that inform ongoing sales and marketing activities. During a defined assignment period, the analyst maintains and enhances marketing and sales databases, supports RFP/RFI and proposal processes, and creates clear, actionable visualizations of data. This role collaborates closely with Sales and Marketing teams to identify trends, improve forecasting, and support data-driven business decision-making. Responsibilities Provide marketing support by maintaining and updating databases to complete cross-references, RFP/RFI responses, ASK processes, and similar proposal requests from contracting, corporate accounts, or sales, ensuring all deliverables are accurate, complete, and submitted on time. Provide sales support by responding to product inquiries, preparing monthly inventory reports, and assisting with constraint management to help optimize product availability. Support sales and marketing teams in maintaining targeted lists, reports, and tools that enable ongoing business initiatives and campaigns. Support the creation and maintenance of a customer communication database that serves as a reliable resource for marketing and sales teams. Translate data into clear, detailed visual reports and presentations, including charts and graphs, that summarize research findings and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders and management. Monitor and analyze sales performance and pipeline activity for North America, providing reporting and insights that support forecasting and strategic business decision-making. Contribute to analytics projects by documenting assumptions, validating data accuracy, and tracking deliverables to ensure projects are completed as scoped. Collaborate and communicate effectively with leadership, project teams, marketing, and sales to align analytics outputs with business needs. Support ad hoc reporting requests by generating accurate data outputs and delivering them in a timely manner during the assignment period. Perform additional duties as needed to support marketing and sales operations throughout the assignment period. Essential Skills Demonstrated experience in marketing analysis, including interpreting sales and marketing data to generate insights and recommendations. Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy when maintaining and updating databases and reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and creation of charts and graphs. Ability to support marketing strategy through data-driven insights and well-structured reporting. Strong editing skills to ensure all RFP/RFI responses, proposal documents, and reports are accurate, clear, and complete. Ability to translate complex data into clear visualizations and presentations that are easy for stakeholders to understand. Experience monitoring and analyzing sales performance and pipeline activity to support forecasting. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple reporting requests, databases, and deliverables within defined timelines. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with leadership, project teams, marketing, and sales. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience supporting RFP/RFI and ASK processes or similar proposal and contracting workflows. Experience in providing marketing and sales support in a commercial or corporate environment. Familiarity with constraint management and inventory reporting in support of sales operations. Experience contributing to analytics projects, including documenting assumptions and validating data. Ability to manage ad hoc reporting requests and prioritize tasks during a defined assignment period. Comfort working in a cross-functional setting with both marketing and sales stakeholders. Work Environment This role operates in a hybrid work environment, with three days in the office and two days remote each week. The position involves regular collaboration with marketing, sales, and leadership teams, and requires frequent use of data and reporting tools, including Microsoft Excel, to create visualizations, reports, and presentations. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
