Marketing Analyst

Office location: Cambridgeshire, UK – This position offers flexible working options, including predominantly remote work. Applicants should be based in the UK and comfortable attending onsite as required.

This is a contractor role anticipated to end in June 2027.

Are you a curious, data-driven analyst who loves turning marketing and player data into insights that shape real decisions?

As a Marketing Analyst (Contractor) in our Commercial Analytics team at Jagex, you'll provide actionable market and player insights that help answer key strategic and tactical questions. You'll track and analyse the performance of our marketing activities, dig into multivariate tests, and present clear, practical recommendations to stakeholders across the business, helping us reach and engage millions of RuneScape players.

What you'll be doing:

• Provide actionable market and player insights to address key strategic and tactical questions.
• Track, report on, and analyse the performance of marketing activities.
• Respond to ad-hoc analytical requests, and develop and automate regular reports.
• Analyse internal and external player data using database queries, spreadsheet models, web analytics, statistical analysis, and campaign management tools.
• Analyse multivariate tests, communicate the results, and provide clear recommendations.
• Present analysis and conclusions to business stakeholders in a clear and practical way.
• Carry out effective analysis while following good practice on version control, documentation, and reproducibility.

What we're looking for:

• Experience in a marketing, player, or commercial analytics role, ideally within gaming or a consumer-facing business.
• Strong SQL skills, with hands-on experience querying data in Snowflake.
• Experience building reports and dashboards in Tableau.
• Experience analysing marketing campaign performance and multivariate or A/B tests.
• The ability to turn complex data into clear, practical recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and manage delegated work.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to well-documented, reproducible analysis.
