About 2hourglass
2hourglass is a fast, mobile window and door glass repair company based in Pennsylvania. Our technicians go to the customer's home or business and fix broken glass, foggy (failed-seal) glass and window hardware on site, often the same or next day. About 80% of our work is residential and 20% commercial.
Our promise is in the name: speed and certainty. Customers send a photo, get a price, and we fix the one window they need. We don't push them to replace five. That approach has earned us roughly 1,300 five-star Google reviews.
Our biggest opportunity is the homeowners who don't know their window can be repaired at all, so they live with it. Our new website is live. Over the next 6–12 months we're improving its conversion, sharpening our Google and Facebook ads, and launching email and SMS follow-up. Over the next 2–3 years we want a marketing machine that runs without depending on the founder. This role is the first step toward that.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a results-driven, hands-on person to join our team. The role is remote, part-time, and headquartered in Pennsylvania (US Eastern time).
The role
As our Marketing Coordinator, you'll plan, coordinate and carry out our marketing across the website, Google Ads, Facebook/Meta, email, SMS and reviews. You'll be our first and only in-house marketing person.
You'll work directly with the founder. He sets the strategy and big-picture goals; you own the day-to-day execution and keep projects moving. We also work with an outside marketing coach, so you'll have a clear plan and support.
Hours | Starts at 20 hours/week, with potential to grow toward full-time |
Location | Remote; overlap with US Eastern business hours required |
Reports to | Founder |
Pay | [$25–35/hour] depending on experience |
You'll need to organize, plan and structure your own workload. We don't have the time or the inclination to micromanage. You'll get a lot of freedom and a lot of responsibility.
What you'll do
- Website performance and metrics (top priority). Our new website is live. Track how it and our Google Ads landing pages perform (traffic, bounce rate, calls and quote requests) and make the adjustments the numbers call for: copy, offers, reviews and calls to action. Keep each county and service page current and working.
- Paid ads coordination. Support our Google Ads (people ready to book now) and Facebook/Meta ads (people who don't know repair is possible). Brief and manage ad creative, and work with any outside agency or freelancer.
- Content and social media. Plan and run a content calendar that teaches homeowners their broken, foggy or sticking windows can be repaired. Create, schedule and post content, reply to comments, and repurpose content across channels.
- Copywriting. Write and edit copy for the website, ads, emails, SMS and social posts in a clear, friendly, local-business voice.
- Email, SMS and CRM. Build and manage welcome, follow-up and reactivation campaigns in our CRM (Close). Re-engage stalled leads and past customers.
- Reviews and social proof. Turn our ~1,300 five-star Google reviews into marketing assets. Keep our Google Business Profile active and fresh.
- Offers and referrals. Help launch and promote a low-cost entry offer and simple referral and repeat-customer programs.
- Tracking and reporting. Maintain a weekly marketing dashboard: leads by source, cost per lead and per job, landing-page performance and ad return. Flag what's working and what isn't.
- Project management. Create and keep project timelines, manage freelancers and vendors, and make sure campaigns ship on time.
- Coordination with the team. Work with the founder and office team so marketing, lead follow-up and scheduling stay aligned.
Your first 90 days
By day 90, we should see clearly which marketing produces booked jobs, and the website should be converting better than at your start.
Timeframe | What success looks like |
Days 1–30 | You know our services, customers, brand and tools (Close CRM, website, ad accounts). Our weekly marketing dashboard is up to date. Stalled leads from Facebook have been followed up. |
Days 31–60 | You've set a baseline for website and landing-page conversion and made a first round of data-driven adjustments, such as stronger use of our reviews and the "send a photo, get a price" offer. A content calendar is running on Facebook. |
Days 61–90 | Website and landing-page conversion has improved against the day-30 baseline. Welcome and reactivation email/SMS sequences are live. The entry offer and a referral program are launched. You present a monthly results report to the founder. |
What we're looking for
The six non-negotiables
- Copywriting. You'll write for the web, ads, email, SMS and social media. Your writing must be excellent, and we'll ask for samples.
- Tech-savvy. You don't need to be a technical expert, but you pick up new tools fast: CRMs, website builders, ad platforms, email tools and AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity.
- Project management. You set deadlines, keep them, and move several projects forward at once.
- Self-starter. Goals will be clear. Often it'll be up to you to decide what needs to happen, when and how, and then do it without being chased.
- Teachable and coachable. We do marketing differently, and there's a lot to learn on the job. We hire mainly on attitude.
- Leadership potential. You'll start as our only marketer. As you hit goals, we expect this role to grow into leading a small marketing team.
Nice to have
- Experience marketing a local or home-services business (trades, cleaning, HVAC, roofing, real estate)
- Hands-on experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager or Google Business Profile
- Experience with Close or a similar CRM, and with email/SMS automations
- Basic design skills (Canva or similar) and basic video editing
- Comfort with dashboards and numbers (Looker Studio, Airtable, Google Sheets)
Perks of the job
- Fully remote, with flexible hours you set around US Eastern business hours
- Starts at 20 hours/week, with potential to grow to full-time
- Real ownership: your work goes live fast and you'll see its impact on booked jobs
- Hands-on marketing and management experience, with coaching from an experienced marketing team
- Pay: [$25–35/hour depending on experience]
