Role
The Marketing Data Automation Specialist turns the marketing team's manual, ad-hoc reporting into automated, reliable dashboards and data workflows — so decisions run on clean, timely data instead of hand-pulled spreadsheets. The goal: free the analysts and managers from manual reporting, connect our data sources into a single source of truth, and make self-serve reporting the default.
Your Tasks & Responsibilities
Own and operate marketing data pipelines within BigQuery, including scheduling, monitoring, alerting, and refresh logic for data that restates over time (such as cohorts).
Build and maintain automated dashboards across BI platforms, including Metabase, Tableau, Power BI, and Looker Studio.
Develop ETL workflows and data pipelines using SQL and Python to pull from source APIs, utilizing managed connectors where appropriate.
Integrate cross-channel marketing data across ad platforms, mobile measurement partners (Adjust), CRMs (CleverTap, Leanplum), GA4, and revenue streams.
Execute data-quality checks and continuous monitoring to maintain high data reliability.
Supply the Marketing Analyst with clean, production-ready datasets.
Perform ad-hoc data pulls while actively automating recurring requests, accompanied by clear documentation for pipelines and metric definitions.
Your Key Competencies
Must have
· Possess strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, transformation, and management.
· Write and maintain Python data pipelines, with comfort working with REST APIs and refactoring existing pipeline codebases.
· Build and manage dashboards using Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio.
· Schedule and orchestrate workflows using tools such as Cloud Scheduler, Airflow, dbt, or cron-based jobs.
· Demonstrate a working understanding of core marketing data sources, including ad platforms, MMPs, CRMs, and GA4.
· Practice a genuine, rigorous approach to data quality and validation.
· Communicate fluently in written and spoken English.
Nice to have:
· Experience with consumer app and mobile data ecosystems, particularly MMPs like Adjust.
· Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation layers, managed connectors (Fivetran, Airbyte, n8n), and general GCP services.
· Exposure to AI-assisted automation tooling for streamling data processes.
· Background or previous experience operating within regulated industries.
Your impact in this role
· Take over and harden the existing data pipelines (Adjust/MMP → BigQuery) — from manually-run to scheduled, monitored, and alerting on failure.
· Automate recurring reporting — dashboards that replace manual pulls across channels.
· Build and maintain data workflows connecting MMP, ad platforms, CRM, GA4 and revenue data,
· Ensure data quality and consistency — automated validation against source APIs, so numbers stay trustworthy without manual checking.
· Enable self-serve reporting so managers answer their own questions.
· Cut reporting turnaround — from days of manual work to always-on dashboards.
Your soft skills
· Systematic and detail-oriented, maintaining high precision across data logic and outputs.
· Automation-minded, with an instinct to replace manual, repetitive work with scalable solutions.
· Highly reliable, ensuring the team can fully trust the accuracy of the numbers.
· Collaborative partner, working effectively alongside analysts and marketers as a dependable data supplier.
· Thriving in dynamic scale-up environments, actively creating order and bringing structure to evolving opportunities.
Your Background – Education & Experience
· 3 to 6 years of experience in data engineering or marketing analytics.
· Proven track record of automating reporting and building robust data pipelines.
· Preferred experience with consumer-app data, Python, and operating within regulated industries.
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
