Job Summary:

The Marketing Generalist is a hands-on execution role responsible for the day-to-day delivery of marketing programs across email, content, social media, web, and events. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, this individual owns the operational backbone of the marketing function: executing campaigns in HubSpot, building segmented lists, supporting digital and web initiatives, and managing content calendars. The right candidate is a self-starter with strong organizational skills, comfortable with evolving technology, and the initiative to drive projects forward independently. They take ownership of project timelines, proactively follow up with stakeholders and partners, and are comfortable using AI tools to accelerate content creation, research, and planning.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Email Marketing & Marketing Automation

Campaign Execution: Build, test, and deploy email campaigns in HubSpot, including segmented sends across customer and prospect lists.

List Management: Create and maintain segmented contact lists; partner with Sales to keep contact data clean and current in HubSpot and Salesforce.

Platform Integrations: Work with the Marketing Manager and Sales to maintain contact hygiene across marketing and CRM platforms; support integrations with third-party tools to ensure data accuracy and reliable campaign attribution.

Content & Positioning: Draft email copy and subject lines in collaboration with the Marketing Manager, aligned to go-to-market strategy, product positioning, and target audience segmentation.

Content & Social Media

Content Calendar Ownership: Own the social media and blog content calendars; ensure consistent cadence and alignment with campaign priorities.

Content Creation: Write and edit content for social posts, blog articles, and other marketing materials (i.e. solution sheets, eBooks, whitepapers); adapt messaging for channel and audience.

Social Media Execution: Execute on social media strategy; monitor performance and flag optimization opportunities.

Sales Enablement Support: Support the development of sales collateral including case studies, solution sheets, and presentation materials; coordinate with the Marketing Manager and product teams to keep assets current and aligned with product positioning.

Digital & Web

Landing Page Development: Build and maintain applicable landing pages in WordPress; coordinate with the web developer and graphic designer to ensure pages meet campaign requirements and brand standards.

Cross-Functional Creative Coordination: Work with Marketing Manager and internal designers and web resources to produce campaign assets; manage timelines and brief handoffs to keep deliverables on track.

Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key performance indicators including email open rates, click-through rates, website traffic, and campaign conversions using Google Analytics 4 and HubSpot reporting; maintain UTM tracking hygiene to ensure accurate attribution; surface insights to the Marketing Manager to inform ongoing optimization.

Event Logistics & Coordination

Event Logistics: Coordinate event shipping and handling, assist with booth materials, and giveaway ordering for trade shows and industry events; work with the Marketing Manager to align logistics with campaign and brand requirements.

Vendor Coordination: Partner with Marketing Manager to liaise with event vendors, exhibit houses, and internal teams to ensure deadlines and specifications are met.

Pre-Event & On-Site Support: Track and maintain pre-event checklists and support on-site execution as required.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a marketing, marketing coordinator, or similar marketing specialist role.

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) with the ability to work independently across the suite without coaching.

Hands-on experience with HubSpot Marketing Hub, including email campaign builds, list segmentation, and contact management; experience with Salesforce is an asset.

Experience building and editing pages in WordPress; familiarity with Elementor or similar page builder plugins is an asset.

Working knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4), including campaign tracking, traffic reporting, and basic goal configuration.

Demonstrated ability to learn new platforms independently, using available documentation, tutorials, and AI tools to self-onboard without relying on manager-led training.

Strong written communication skills with experience writing marketing copy for email and social channels.

Light video editing experience; familiarity with tools such as Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, or Canva video is an asset.

Experience coordinating event logistics, including shipping, vendor coordination, and materials ordering.

Comfortable with an evolving scope of work; able to take on new initiatives and tools without significant ramp-up support.

Proven track record of proactive follow-up


and accountability in cross-functional environments.

Familiarity with AI content tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Canva AI) and a proactive approach to integrating them into daily workflows.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Eastern Time Zone (ET) candidates preferred.

Up to 20% travel within North America.
