Role Overview
An exciting and interesting opportunity has arisen for the position of Marketing Manager within Irish Life Employer Solutions.
This is a 12-month contract. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be part of a team of 13 marketing professionals.
You will have two marketing specialists reporting directly to you.
What you will help us to achieve
The successful candidate will:
- Support the business in the development and execution of a strategic marketing plan for Employer Solutions that will attract potential customers and help retain existing ones.
- Take ownership of specific marketing priorities across product lines, delivering measurable outcomes and high-quality execution.
- Build excellent relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver and support the marketing strategy and goals.
- Participate in and sometimes lead cross-functional projects, providing clear progress updates and reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Support the development of our business thought leadership agenda in collaboration with Group Brand and our public policy expert.
- Use customer insight, market understanding and commercial awareness to inform our marketing activity and decision-making.
- Manage direct reports with responsibility for team deliverables and performance. Put in place appropriate training as and when required, ensuring goals are met.
- Manage relevant budgets and expenditure responsibly, delivering value for money.
- Ensure compliance with all risk and regulatory requirements, proactively highlighting any risks so that mitigating actions can be taken.
What you will need to be successful in the role
The ideal candidate should have the following knowledge, experience and skills:
- 3rd level qualification in Marketing or a related discipline
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in Marketing, preferably covering financial services
- Experience of working in a B2B environment highly desirable
- Strong creative thinking ability
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Customer understanding / insight generation skills
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of key business financials
- Excellent relationship & stakeholder management skills
- Superior ability to deliver on time and with results
- Excellent people management and leadership skills
- High degree of motivation and enthusiasm
- Awareness and understanding of data protection and CPC legislation
