Centred around the brand pillars of People and Place, the hotel features 174 design-forward rooms and Talk Shop, our all-day lounge, social space and eatery. We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Manager , ideally available immediately, to add senior marketing capability as the hotel approaches its first full year in market. This role will partner closely with the Senior Marketing Lead, General Manager, agencies and Hyatt regional teams to strengthen campaign direction, planning structure, commercial alignment and measurable outcomes. We need someone highly organised, commercially sharp and confident managing multiple priorities. You’ll be able to take a lot of moving parts, create order, build the right frameworks and keep people, agencies, timelines and priorities moving in the right direction. This role will help set up the bigger-picture marketing framework for the hotel, including the planning calendar, campaign structure, success measures, reporting rhythm and strategic direction for the remainder of the year and the year ahead. The Opportunity This is a hands-on contract role for someone who can bring senior hotel marketing experience, structure and commercial focus during a key commercial period. You’ll work closely with Sales, Revenue, Operations, Food & Beverage, ownership representatives, Hyatt regional commercial and marketing teams, and external agencies to ensure marketing activity supports commercial objectives, drives awareness, generates demand and strengthens local market positioning. We are open to discussing the right arrangement for the right person. This may be a part-time contract over approximately three months, selected days per week, a short-term project focus, or a longer-term consulting arrangement. What You’ll Do Own the strategic direction and commercial alignment of marketing activity across rooms, Talk Shop, brand, digital, partnerships and local activations. Lead the development of the marketing plan for the remainder of the year and the year ahead, working closely with the Senior Marketing Lead to ensure priorities are clear, commercially focused and aligned with hotel objectives. Establish a practical planning framework, including campaign priorities, timelines, ownership, success measures, reporting cadence and review points. Partner with the Senior Marketing Lead, General Manager, Hyatt regional teams and agency partners to keep marketing activity aligned, focused and moving with pace. Drive marketing activity that supports direct bookings, World of Hyatt member engagement, loyalty penetration and total hotel revenue. Partner with Sales, Revenue, Operations and Food & Beverage to connect marketing activity with demand generation, revenue growth, guest engagement and Talk Shop performance. Work closely with creative, PR, digital, social and media agencies to ensure campaigns are on-brand, well-coordinated and focused on measurable outcomes. Oversee owner-funded marketing activity with a strong focus on budget alignment, ROI, reporting and commercial impact. Strengthen digital performance across paid, owned and social channels, with a focus on conversion, direct demand, brand visibility and measurable ROI. Use Hyatt systems, brand standards, reporting, market insights, digital performance and campaign data to guide tactical decisions and optimise activity. Strengthen Talk Shop and Caption by Hyatt Central Sydney’s local market positioning through brand storytelling, partnerships, content and community-led activity. Create structure and momentum so marketing priorities, agencies, timelines and stakeholders continue moving with clarity, pace and accountability. What You’ll Bring Strong hotel marketing experience The ability to step in quickly, assess priorities and create clear plans. Experience with hotel, F&B, lifestyle, brand or destination marketing campaigns. Strong digital marketing experience across campaign planning, social, content, paid media, website activity, reporting and performance optimisation. Strong understanding of hotel commercial priorities, including direct bookings, World of Hyatt member engagement, loyalty penetration, channel mix, digital performance, campaign ROI and total revenue impact. Strong understanding of how marketing strategy, tactical campaigns, brand standards and partnerships support commercial objectives. Confidence working with senior stakeholders, owners, agencies, hotel leaders, operational teams and Hyatt regional support teams. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and stakeholders at once. Experience managing agencies across creative, PR, digital, social or media activity. A practical, hands-on approach with the confidence to lead, guide and follow through. Creative thinking, commercial focus and a calm, solutions-led style. Strong ability to build practical frameworks, planning calendars, campaign processes and reporting rhythms.
