Marketing Project Manager
Freitag MarketingAbout Us & The Position
Freitag Marketing is a fast-growing digital marketing agency with ambitious plans to scale.
We are serious about growth. We want to serve more clients, produce more work, build a larger
team, and continuously improve the systems that allow us to operate at higher volume without
sacrificing quality.
We are looking for an experienced Remote Project Manager who can help make that happen.
This is an internal delivery role. You will work closely with our Account Managers and
production teams to make sure client work moves efficiently from strategy through execution.
Our Account Managers own the client relationship, strategy, and client meetings.
You own making sure the work actually gets done.
You will coordinate SEO, paid media, content, design, development, and other deliverables
across a high volume of accounts. You will make sure everyone knows what they own, when it's
due, what they're waiting on, and what needs to happen next.
You may communicate with clients by email when needed to collect assets, coordinate
approvals, or keep projects moving, but you will not be responsible for leading client
meetings or managing the overall client relationship.
This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be able to work within the Eastern Time
Zone and be comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support our Account Managers by turning client strategies, requests, and priorities
into organized, actionable project plans.
Manage a high volume of concurrent projects and deliverables across SEO, paid
media, content, design, development, and other marketing services.
Build and maintain clear timelines, tasks, owners, milestones, dependencies, and
deadlines.
Make sure work is properly assigned and actively moving through the agency.
Follow up proactively with team members before deadlines become problems.
Identify bottlenecks, capacity issues, missing information, and risks early.
Reprioritize work quickly when client or agency priorities change.
Coordinate handoffs between departments and make sure teams have everything
needed to complete their work.
Keep our project management system accurate, organized, and current.●
Manage revision cycles, internal approvals, client approvals, and dependencies.
Communicate with clients by email when needed to obtain assets, information, feedback,
or approvals.
Keep Account Managers informed about project status, risks, delays, and decisions they
need to make.
Protect project scope and flag requests that may fall outside of agreed deliverables.
Monitor project timelines, workload, capacity, and project health.
Ensure deliverables go through the appropriate quality-control process before they are
delivered.
Continually identify opportunities to improve workflows, standardize recurring work,
automate processes, and increase the amount of work the agency can successfully
handle.
This Is a High-Volume Role
Freitag is growing, and we expect our project volume to grow with us.
We are specifically looking for someone who is comfortable having a lot of work moving at the
same time.
Multiple clients may need deliverables. A website may be preparing to launch. Creative may be
waiting on feedback. A paid campaign may need assets. An Account Manager may need
something turned around quickly. Priorities can change throughout the day.
That should not overwhelm you.
It should make you organize.
The right person can quickly determine what matters most, establish priorities, communicate
those priorities, and keep work moving.
As our volume grows, we don't simply want someone who works harder.
We want someone who asks:
How can we make this system work at twice the volume?
What Great Looks Like
A great Project Manager at Freitag is extremely proactive.
You don't wait until something is late to ask what happened.
You see problems coming. If a developer is falling behind, you're addressing it before launch day.
If an Account Manager needs a deliverable Friday, you're making sure the production team isn't
discovering that Thursday afternoon.
If a client hasn't provided an asset, you're following up before it becomes a blocker.
If someone is overloaded, you're identifying the capacity problem before five projects become
late.
If priorities suddenly change, you can reorganize the work without needing leadership to rebuild
the plan for you.
Your default question is:
“What needs to happen next to keep this moving?”
