We are looking for a Marketing Science Manager to be the analytical backbone of our marketing content engine. In this role, you will translate data into the insights, narratives, and proof points that fuel everything from campaign creative and thought leadership to sales enablement and executive storytelling. You will work at the intersection of data, strategy, and storytelling, partnering closely with content, creative, brand, growth, and product marketing teams to make sure every piece of content we produce is informed by evidence and optimized for impact.
If you love digging into datasets, spotting patterns no one else has noticed, and turning numbers into stories that move audiences, this role is for you.
WHAT YOU"LL DO
Insight Generation & Data Storytelling
Pull, clean, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources (Samba TV data, Samba web data, other data sources) to surface insights that shape marketing content.
Translate complex data findings into clear, compelling narratives, charts, and talking points that the content team can turn into blog posts, reports, social posts, infographics, sales decks, and PR pitches.
Identify trends, benchmarks, and proprietary data stories that position the company as a category authority.
Powering the Content Engine
Serve as the dedicated data partner to content marketing, providing a steady pipeline of insight-driven topic ideas, supporting statistics, and original research angles.
Manage a content insights backlog and editorial calendar input, ensuring every major content asset has a credible, data-backed point of view.
Lead the development of original research initiatives — from designing surveys and structuring datasets to interpreting results and shaping the final story.
Fact-check, source, and validate data referenced in marketing content to protect brand credibility.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Collaborate with measurement science, product, sales, customer success, and data engineering teams to access the right data and tell stories that resonate across the funnel.
Partner with growth and demand gen teams on audience segmentation, A/B testing, and attribution to continuously sharpen targeting and messaging.
Educate marketing stakeholders on what the data is telling us, building a culture of evidence-based decision-making within the marketing org.
Manage relationships with external research partners, data vendors, and analytics tools.
WHO YOU ARE
5+ years of experience in marketing analytics, marketing science, insights, business intelligence, or a closely related discipline, ideally with at least some of that time spent supporting a content, brand, or demand gen team.
Strong SQL skills and fluency with at least one analytics or BI tool (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Mode, Hex).
Comfort working in spreadsheets at a power-user level, plus exposure to Python or R for deeper analysis is a plus.
Hands-on experience with the modern marketing data stack: CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot), marketing automation (Marketo, Pardot, HubSpot), web analytics (GA4, Adobe Analytics), and customer data platforms.
A track record of turning data into narratives, you can point to reports, decks, or campaigns where your insights drove the story.
Strong written and visual communication skills; you know the difference between a chart that informs and a chart that lands.
Project management instincts: you can juggle multiple stakeholders, prioritize ruthlessly, and ship work on deadline.
Intellectual curiosity, healthy skepticism of your own numbers, and a bias toward action.
Nice to Have
Experience designing and fielding original research studies or industry surveys.
Familiarity with marketing mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, or incrementality testing.
B2B SaaS, media, or consumer tech background.
A portfolio or examples of published, data-driven content.
