Marketing Specialist

Engagement Type: Full-Time, Long-term contract. This role is 100% remote

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

VALERE is seeking a Marketing Specialist for our client. This role provides strategic marketing consultation and guidance across client initiatives, partnering with marketing leadership to build and execute marketing plans that advance the organization's mission, strategic plan, and business objectives. The specialist will drive, implement, and measure marketing activities spanning advertising, collateral development, digital marketing, content, and event management.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Partner with Marketing Managers and/or Directors to build marketing plans that support strategic and business goals
• Drive, implement, monitor, and measure marketing activities, including advertising, collateral development, digital marketing, content creation/assessment, and event management/sponsorship
• Provide strategic evaluation and tactical execution across marketing programs
• Conduct competitive landscape assessments and deliver recommendations
• Manage projects through the entire project life cycle
• Represent our client internally and externally
• Proactively build and improve relationships with colleagues, leaders, and experts
• Assess opportunities for improvement and adapt to change as needed
• Contribute to and/or manage a content library
• Travel occasionally and work evenings/weekends as needed

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (liberal arts, business, marketing, healthcare, or similar) with strong academic performance
• 3+ years of professional experience in a relevant field
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Experience contributing to and/or managing a content library
• Broad-based knowledge of marketing strategies
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, critical thinking, and active listening skills
• Quantitative skills and persuasive oral and written communication
• Project management and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a consensus-style, team-oriented environment
• Comfort in a fast-paced, changing environment
• High personal motivation, work ethic, flexibility, and creativity
• Digital marketing experience (preferred)
• Experience with proposal development and RFP responses (preferred)
• Experience with an RFP-specific content management system, like Responsive (preferred)
• Experience in Workfront (preferred)
• Healthcare marketing experience (preferred)
• Experience with marketing automation and surfacing data trends (preferred)
