Marketing specialist (maternity leave replacement, fixed-term contract).
Hytest is a manufacturer of high-quality antibodies and antigens for the IVD industry. We are a market leader in the development and production of reagents used for diagnosing acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, sepsis, and other diseases. Our mission is to deliver antibodies and antigens for improved patient outcomes. Hytest is a proud and responsible employer to more than 120 employees worldwide. Our team consists of experts in different areas and employee development is one of the key drivers for Hytest. We offer meaningful work in a company that changes lives for better, competitive salary and benefit package, ongoing learning, work in a dedicated and friendly team, and flexibility in remote work arrangements. We are now looking for the new marketing specialist to join our team!
Key responsibilities:
- Hands-on execution of marketing activities and campaigns — organizing events, trade shows, and webinars, and coordinating the communications and materials with internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting CRM tool implementation and ongoing development, including marketing automation workflows and leads management
- Identify and help drive improvements to website functionality and user experience — including search, navigation, page layout, and performance — by scoping needs and partnering with our external development team to prioritize, test, and validate changes.
- Supporting social media, website, email marketing, and other communication channels.
- Contributing to brand development
- Creation of marketing materials, presentations, newsletters, and other customer-facing content.
- Working closely with internal teams to translate business goals and technical information into marketing messages.
- Monitoring marketing performance and using data to improve campaigns and activities.
- Coordinating with external partners, agencies, or other marketing suppliers if needed.
- Staying up to date with marketing trends, tools, and best practices.
Role qualifications:
- Proven hands-on experience in marketing (3+ years).
- Strong practical understanding of marketing principles, channels, and best practices.
- Working knowledge of website platforms/CMS and on-site search functionality, with comfort coordinating technical projects alongside an external development partner
- Experience with CRM or marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Odoo, or similar), including supporting implementation, configuration, or ongoing use
- Experience planning and executing marketing campaigns and activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate content.
- Preferably: educational background in biology, immunology, life sciences, biotechnology, or a related field. Experience working in a scientific, healthcare, biotech, or life-science environment. A biology or immunology background is not required for this role. It would be considered an advantage, particularly because it can help with understanding our field and communicating effectively about technically complex topics.
What we offer:
- An opportunity to take ownership of meaningful marketing activities and make a visible impact.
- A collaborative environment where marketing works closely with other functions of the organization.
- The opportunity to develop your skills across a broad range of marketing activities.
- The chance to work in an innovative environment.
