The role is focused on strengthening Marketing’s ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, support campaign and platform readiness, improve QA and documentation practices, and ensure marketing technology decisions are grounded in both business context and technical understanding. While ownership of marketing technology platforms, architecture, integrations, and technical implementation remains with the appropriate functional teams, this person will bring strong technical acumen and business insight to translate Marketing needs into actionable requirements, reduce execution risk, and improve the reliability, consistency, and scalability of Collette’s marketing tech stack. This role will help drive the execution, readiness, documentation, testing, and cross-functional alignment required to support Marketing’s technology-enabled initiatives. Primary Functions: Marketing & Technology Partnership Serve as a marketing stakeholder and subject matter expert for marketing automation, email service platforms, and related CRM and CDP initiatives, acting as a counterpart between Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, and Technology teams. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance lead management, customer engagement, and lifecycle marketing capabilities that support business growth objectives. Identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness through automation, process optimization, reporting, segmentation, and data-driven decision making. Represent marketing priorities and requirements in CDP and marketing technology initiatives, collaborating with business and technical teams to define needs, support testing, and facilitate successful implementation and adoption. Help shape future-state CDP, CRM, and marketing automation strategies, including marketing journeys, workflows, lead management processes, and data management best practices. Champion user adoption and effective utilization of marketing technology capabilities through ongoing collaboration, training, communication, and process improvement efforts. Partner with Technology and other business stakeholders to support continuous enhancement and optimization of marketing automation capabilities and performance. Marketing Technology Enablement Bring strong working knowledge of key marketing technology categories including automation, CRM, customer data, consent, attribution, content, events, and analytics platforms to support execution of projects led by stakeholders within and outside of Marketing. Translate Marketing goals, campaign needs, customer experience requirements, and operational processes into clear business requirements, workflows, testing expectations, documentation, and actionable next steps for the appropriate owning teams. Maintain Marketing-facing documentation that clarifies workflows, handoffs, dependencies, testing expectations, business rules, risks, launch readiness, and operational processes. Marketing Data, Campaign Operations and Journey Support Support customer data collection, audience activation, lead management, lifecycle journeys, and marketing automation initiatives from a Marketing stakeholder perspective. Partner with Marketing Automation, Data & Analytics, Technology, and Digital Production teams to improve campaign readiness, journey execution, customer data handoffs, and operational consistency. Configure marketing platforms to support campaign execution, lead management, customer engagement, and personalization. QA, Tracking & Compliance Support Partner with Data & Analytics, Technology, and Marketing teams to support Marketing’s understanding of tracking needs, reporting readiness, privacy requirements, consent considerations, and compliance-related impacts. Support business-side QA, UAT, and release readiness by helping define test scenarios, document issues, validate expected Marketing outcomes, and confirm requirements are met before launch. Team Collaboration Serve as a trusted Marketing counterpart to peer leads across Marketing Systems, Marketing Automation, Digital Production, Data & Analytics, Technology, and external partners. Bring strong technical acumen to marketing initiatives by helping assess requirements, clarify dependencies, troubleshoot issues, and translate technical considerations into practical Marketing decisions, while partnering with the appropriate stakeholders. Bring a player-coach mentality, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. Operate with a curious and entrepreneurial mindset, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and willingly step in to solve problems, drive progress, and deliver results in a fast-moving, evolving environment. Support the continued maturity of Marketing’s technology-enabled capabilities by promoting clear processes, documentation, knowledge sharing, and operational consistency across stakeholder groups. Knowledge and Skills: 5+ years of experience in Marketing Technology, Marketing Operations, Digital Marketing, CRM, or a related discipline. Strong understanding of marketing technology ecosystems, including marketing automation, CRM, CDPs, customer data management, audience segmentation, lifecycle marketing, consent management, analytics, attribution, campaign operations, and lead management best practices. Hands-on experience with HubSpot Marketing and Sales Hub, including workflows, forms, lists, segmentation, lead routing, email automation, campaign setup, governance, and platform administration. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or a comparable enterprise CRM platform preferred. Experience supporting CRM and marketing technology implementations, enhancements, optimization, and adoption efforts as a business-side Marketing stakeholder. Proven ability to translate business needs into requirements, workflows, process documentation, testing plans, issue resolution, and scalable operational procedures. Experience supporting QA and UAT for marketing systems, campaigns, customer journeys, forms, landing pages, and integrated digital experiences. Ability to identify, analyze, and communicate data, tracking, reporting, workflow, and process issues impacting marketing effectiveness, customer experience, and campaign performance. Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage timelines, dependencies, risks, stakeholder communications, and cross-functional initiatives across Marketing, Sales, Technology, Data & Analytics, and external partners. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical, business-friendly language and drive adoption across teams. Demonstrated success serving as a marketing stakeholder, requirements lead, or cross-functional partner on technology-enabled initiatives, collaborating effectively with Technology, Data & Analytics, and Engineering teams.
