We're looking for a Marketing Tech Strategy Manager to play a key role in shaping the future of our marketing technology capabilities. This role sits at the intersection of Marketing, Technology, Data and Change, ensuring our marketing technology estate supports both current business priorities and long-term strategic ambition.

You will be responsible for defining and driving the marketing technology roadmap, identifying opportunities to enhance capabilities, improve customer engagement and deliver measurable business value. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you'll help translate strategic objectives into practical solutions, ensuring new technologies, processes and ways of working are successfully embedded.

The role combines strategy, transformation and governance, requiring someone who can navigate complex environments, influence senior stakeholders and drive change across multiple teams. You'll help ensure the business is ready to adopt new capabilities, establish effective governance and risk controls, and use data and insight to measure success and inform future priorities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in marketing technology, digital transformation or business change who enjoys solving complex problems, building strong relationships and driving improvements that deliver better outcomes for both customers and the business.

The working hours (per week) for this role can be between 28 and 35 hours.

At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon or London office. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here.

If we receive a high volume of relevant applications, we may close the advert earlier than the advertised date, so please apply as soon as you can.

What you’ll be doing

As a Marketing Tech Strategy Manager, you'll lead the development and evolution of our marketing technology strategy, ensuring our capabilities, platforms and operating model support both current business priorities and future growth ambitions.

You'll work closely with teams across Marketing, Digital, Data and Technology to understand business needs, identify opportunities for improvement and shape the roadmap for our marketing technology estate. By balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery, you'll help ensure investments in technology drive measurable value for customers and the business.

A key part of the role will be leading transformation and change initiatives, supporting the introduction of new capabilities and ensuring successful adoption across the organisation. You'll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to define requirements, manage dependencies and help teams embrace new ways of working.

You'll provide governance and oversight across marketing technology initiatives, helping to identify and manage risks, establish effective controls and ensure delivery remains aligned to strategic objectives. You'll also use data and performance measures to assess outcomes, evaluate return on investment and inform future priorities.

As a subject matter expert, you'll build strong relationships across the business, influencing decision-making and providing guidance on marketing technology trends, capabilities and best practices. Through collaboration, strategic planning and continuous improvement, you'll help create a marketing technology ecosystem that enables exceptional customer experiences and supports Nationwide's long-term ambitions.
