Wildlife Preservation Clarence Valley (WPCV) is looking for volunteers for our Marketing, Communications, and Fundraising team. Along with the other members of the WPCV Committee, you'll help guide the future of this unique environmental non-profit in the Clarence Valley.

In this role you will:

• Work with a small team of volunteers who are passionate about protecting wildlife
• Create awareness of WPCV and its activities through community events and social media
• Run fundraising campaigns on social media and through other outlets
• Help with the basics: send out member newsletters, social media, etc.
• Generate PR for key events and milestones
• Write grant proposals if that’s something you’re keen on

We're looking for someone with:

• Experience in marketing and/or communications for a non-profit or business
• Understanding of different communication and media strategies and their effectivity (social media, email, live events, etc)
• Passion for the unique ecology of the Clarence Valley

Expectations

Part-time: This role should take a minimum of 2-3 hours each week. We have fortnightly meetings and use Whatsapp and Google Workspace to minimise overhead.

Compensation: This is a volunteer (unpaid) position, suited to someone excited about creating a lasting legacy for the Clarence Valley.

Remote: We are open to people outside of the Clarence Valley though we have a strong preference for people who are familiar with this unique part of Australia or who live here. Most meetings can be attended remotely though it's always great to see each other in person from time to time.
