The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Data Reporting & Analytics, the Master Data Analyst will work within the enterprise master data team to manage and govern master data across Sage X3, the organization’s primary ERP, and connected operational, cultivation, quality, planning, maintenance, medical, and analytics platforms. The candidate will support the business by ensuring master data is accurate, complete, consistent, and efficiently maintained across the enterprise application landscape.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, enter, and upload enterprise master data accurately and within established service levels across Sage X3 and connected systems.
- Manage master data throughout its lifecycle, including creation, modification, activation, deactivation, archival, and periodic review.
- Understand how master data is created, mapped, transformed, synchronized, and consumed across Sage X3 and connected systems, including Elevated Signals, PlantIT, Ample Organics, Lifecharts, Kinaxis Maestro, Ensur, Fiix, Snowflake, Power BI, and Tableau.
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and best practices for creating and maintaining master data across Sage X3 and connected enterprise systems.
- Maintain strict adherence to Master Data Management (MDM) governance, including established data standards, ownership, controls, approval workflows, and change procedures.
- Apply enterprise data standards to prevent downstream transaction, integration, reporting, and control issues.
- Collaborate with Data Owners and Data Stewards to resolve data-quality issues, confirm requirements, and maintain enterprise standards.
- Monitor data-quality measures, investigate exceptions and duplicates, coordinate corrective action, and support root-cause analysis of recurring master data issues.
- Collaborate with Support Centre departments to maintain centralized data elements and aligned business definitions.
- Use advanced Excel capabilities for data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and bulk-data preparation.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot operational and business reports for Sage X3 using Crystal Reports as a supporting responsibility, including validating report outputs against underlying master and transactional data.
- Perform periodic audits to verify master data accuracy, integrity, completeness, and compliance with established standards.
- Support system implementations, integrations, acquisitions, organizational changes, and other initiatives through data mapping, cleansing, validation, migration, reconciliation, testing, and cutover activities.
- Resolve end-user service requests and incidents within established service-level expectations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience with enterprise master data and ERP systems, preferably Sage X3, with exposure to connected operational platforms and the Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P), Plan to Manufacture (PTM), or Record to Report (R2R) business streams.
- Experience applying MDM governance, data-quality, and data-stewardship practices in a controlled or regulated environment.
- Experience with data cleansing, mapping, validation, migration, and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with item, customer, vendor, bill of material, location, and organizational master data.
- Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation, analysis, validation, and reconciliation.
- Experience with Crystal Reports or similar enterprise reporting tools is preferred, including report development, modification, troubleshooting, and data validation.
- Familiarity with internal controls, audit evidence, segregation of duties, ticketing processes, and service-level expectations.
- Ability to translate business requirements and data issues between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing deliverables.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships with Data Owners, Data Stewards, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
