Job Overview: The Master Data Management Specialist role is responsible for taking care of daily operational aspects of Master Data Management. This includes execution of daily tasks per best practices of data management procedures, data standardization, preparation, quality, data integrity, as well as timely execution to an approved service level agreement per stakeholder’s expectations. This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining all information in the Company’s enterprise systems and will develop and document all practices and procedures to ensure accurate data for the Company. Essential Duties and responsibilities Under limited supervision, this position performs duties with high visibility and is responsible for master data management to assure data is accurate with no interruption to business. This will require critical thinking and decision making. Troubleshoot technical issues and liaise with subject matter experts within the functional data owners, Support Desk and vendor base Represent Treasury on organizational initiatives and projects that impact on the information systems used within the department. Act as subject matter expert for projects that impact MDM. Ensure master reference data integrity as well as maintaining the processes to support data quality. Identify areas for data quality improvements and help to resolve data quality challenges through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies. Ensure quality of master data in key systems, as well as development and documentation of audits/processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity. Assists in data management, governance, and data quality of master data requirements with other functional data owners to ensure functional master data integrity across the operation of financial systems is consistent and meets stated business rules and requirements Conducts data cleaning to rid the system of old, unused data, or duplicate data for better management and quicker access. Qualifications Bachelors degree, college diploma and/or equivalent experience in Data Management or related area 3 -5 years’ prior experience in a data management environment Working knowledge of Data Systems and industry best practices as it relates to the management of Master Data Prior experience in Food or CPG industry is an asset Proficiency in maximizing and utilizing ERP systems, preferably as a “Power User” of major ERPs and Office 365. Ability to interface with IT on enhancements or problems with the ERP system application and/or request reports and modifications necessary to improve the operation or correct issues Familiarity with inventory controls Strong sense of urgency and the ability to understand and set priorities High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a group Excellent communication and organizational skills Effectively utilizes metrics to drive results Ability to manage multiple tasks Ability to build strong relationships with others Current employees please note: this position is referral bonus eligible!
