Role purpose

Coordinate Material Master Data Operations across APAC and EMEA, ensuring business requirements are translated into complete, accurate, and timely master data. Lead regional service delivery, material readiness, data quality, and issue resolution in partnership with cross-functional teams, BPO providers, and Global MDM functions.

Key accountabilities

  1. Regional Material Master Data service coordination
  • Coordinate the creation, extension, maintenance, and lifecycle management of materials across SAP S/4HANA and SAP Cloud, using approved workflows and governance controls.
  • Prioritize requests based on business needs, project criticality, and agreed service levels, coordinating execution with internal teams and BPO partners.
  • Review complex or high-impact requests, provide business context, and resolve exceptions while ensuring efficient execution by BPO teams.
  • Ensure timely setup and maintenance of supporting operational master data, including Bills of Material, Purchasing Info Records, and related objects required for successful project execution and business operations.

2. Project enablement and material readiness

  • Partner with cross-functional project teams to identify, define, and deliver Material Master Data requirements, ensuring timely material creation, extension, and readiness for new product introductions, portfolio changes, and supply chain initiatives.
  • Define and communicate Material Master Data timelines, dependencies, and critical path activities aligned with project milestones.
  • Provide regular status updates to Project Managers on material readiness, progress, risks, issues, and required decisions.

3. Business Coordination & Service Delivery Management

  • Partner with key business stakeholders to support effective Material Master Data execution across sourcing, production, and market extension activities.
  • Manage BPO service delivery, monitor performance and escalations, and drive timely resolution of operational issues to ensure compliance with agreed service levels.

4. Data quality, governance and Continuous improvement

  • Ensure compliance with Material Master Data standards, governance policies, validation rules, workflows, and data ownership requirements.
  • Monitor data quality exceptions, drive root cause analysis, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with business stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement improvements to reduce lead times, minimize rework, strengthen controls, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Supply Chain Excellence team, and IT to enhance processes, tools, automation, and system capabilities.
  • Support system changes, testing, and transformation initiatives while driving regional alignment and standardization across APAC and EMEA

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in Material Master Data, Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Product Lifecycle Data, or a related operational function within a complex, multi-country organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Material Master Data processes, including material creation, extension, maintenance, lifecycle changes, Bills of Material, and Purchasing Info Records.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams and stakeholders within a global environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Fluent English required.

Preferred Skills & Capabilities

  • SAP S/4HANA experience is strongly preferred; SAP Cloud and Microsoft Power Platform experience are advantageous.
  • Experience supporting regional service operations, including issue resolution, and stakeholder support.
  • Experience coordinating service teams across regions and cultures.
  • Knowledge of data quality management, governance frameworks, validation controls, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience with ERP-enabled master data processes and workflow controls.
  • Knowledge of workflow automation, process optimization, and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Additional European or Asian language skills are advantageous.

Role Compensation:

The indicative annual gross salary (base salary) for this position ranges from 38,000 – 45,000 EUR gross per annum - depending on the candidate’s experience, skills and overall profile. The position also includes a variable compensation component and a benefits package in line with applicable company policies.
