About the Role: The Maths and Science Secondary Tutor is a full-time, remote role focused on providing high-quality online instruction and academic support to secondary-level students as well as conduct light administration and digital learning contents.

We are looking for a enthusiastic Maths and Science Secondary Tutor and Digital Learning Content Creator to join our remote team. You will teach students, create engaging learning materials, and help manage our digital presence.

The tutor will conduct one-to-one and small-group sessions, diagnose learning gaps, and adapt teaching approaches to diverse learning needs. The role also involves assigning and reviewing practice work, providing constructive feedback, tracking student progress, and communicating regularly with learners and caregivers. The tutor will collaborate with the academy team to refine online learning materials and contribute to a supportive, growth-oriented learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Tutoring: Deliver online Maths and Science lessons to secondary school students.
• Content Creation: Design and develop digital learning content and educational resources.
• Social Media: Manage and post content across our social media platforms.
• Administration: Handle basic administrative tasks to keep learning schedules organized.

Requirements

• Curriculum Knowledge: Strong awareness of the Maths and Science UK GCSE and A-Level curriculum.
• Tech Setup: Must own a reliable laptop, high-speed internet, and consistent electricity/power backup.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate students in different time zones.

Qualifications

• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and secondary-level Science, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Experience or training in Mathematics and Science Education and Curriculum Development, including aligning lessons with learning outcomes and assessment standards.
• Proficiency in Lesson Planning, including designing structured, engaging sessions for diverse learners in an online environment.
• Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students and provide clear updates to caregivers and colleagues.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, Mathematics, Science, or a closely related field (advanced degrees or teaching certifications are an advantage).
• Prior experience tutoring or teaching secondary students, preferably in an online or blended setting.
• Comfort with digital tools, virtual classroom platforms, and basic data tracking for student progress.
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, learner-centered teaching and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
