We are looking for a talented and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer (SolidWorks & ANSYS) to join our customer's team in Hainburg, Germany. In this role, you will contribute to the design, simulation, testing, and validation of innovative mechanical systems and components. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, supporting both new product development and ongoing engineering projects in a dynamic international environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Create and maintain 3D models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Perform structural and load analyses using FEM methodologies and ANSYS simulation tools.
- Validate designs through simulations, calculations, and mechanical testing activities.
- Analyze test results and prepare technical reports and recommendations.
- Support the optimization and improvement of existing products and systems.
- Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, technical specifications, and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Provide technical support for ongoing engineering projects and change management activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to design and validation processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Strong hands-on experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
- Experience performing FEM simulations and structural calculations using ANSYS.
- Good understanding of mechanical testing methods and validation processes.
- Knowledge of engineering standards, regulations, and manufacturing principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an international team.
- Fluent German and English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Experience with tolerance analysis and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
- Familiarity with PLM systems and engineering change management.
- Experience supporting prototype development and testing activities.
- Knowledge of additional simulation and CAE tools.
- Experience working in international and cross-functional project environments.
Additional Information
- Full-time assignment until October 2027.
- Hybrid working model with up to 60% remote work.
- Regular on-site presence required in Hainburg for testing and validation activities.
