MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER KYSOR WARREN – EPTA Supporting the design of refrigerators and their mechanical components in line with market requirements and new technologies. EXPERIENCE: Mechanical Engineering degree (bachelor’s with 7+ year experience or master’s with 5+ year experience) Competency with structural design and analysis Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Hands-on engineering and prototype testing for reliability and product life cycle is a plus KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead product development and structural design activities relevant to design of a commercial refrigerator Communicating and collaborating effectively within or outside organization with vendors and suppliers Optimization of design using Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Assembly (DFA) principles Engineering design using hand calculations and analysis of 1D/2D engineering models Troubleshooting using DFMEA and root cause analysis Design of jigs, fixtures and statistical tolerance stack up studies Design of Sheetmetal, Plastic Extrusions, Aluminum extrusions, and Injection molded plastic components Generating and presenting reports for design approval Drafting and publishing internal engineering standards and procedures SKILLS: MS office CAD Proficient in English, Spanish is a plus Don’t let a few unmet requirements chill your enthusiasm!
