This role involves designing HVAC, plumbing, and compressed air systems for a variety of projects, including commercial, retail, institutional, and industrial projects. You will be responsible for managing projects from schematic design through construction administration, performing HVAC load calculations, equipment sizing, and system layouts. Additionally, you will oversee project scopes, budgets, and schedules, conduct QA/QC reviews, handle submittals and RFIs, and coordinate with clients and contractors. This position also offers the opportunity to mentor junior staff, stamp drawings, and assume project ownership. Responsibilities Design HVAC, plumbing, and compressed air systems for diverse project types. Manage projects from schematic design through construction administration. Perform HVAC load calculations, equipment sizing, and system layouts. Oversee project scope, budget, and schedule management. Conduct QA/QC reviews and handle submittals and RFIs. Coordinate with clients and contractors. Mentor EITs and junior staff. Opportunity to stamp drawings and assume project ownership. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. PE license required. 4+ years of HVAC/mechanical design experience. Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD. Experience in commercial building design. Additional Skills & Qualifications Healthcare project experience. Energy modeling experience. Building Management Systems experience. Experience mentoring junior engineers/EITs. Work Environment Our offices are located in Boise, Denver, and Sacramento, with a recently revamped office in Denver. The work schedule is flexible, with a blend of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. The first 60 days will primarily be onsite for training and team exposure. There are opportunities for occasional travel to our Boise and Sacramento offices for training and collaboration. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52.40 - $63.46/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
