Are you a Mechanical Engineer looking to contribute to the development of innovative aerospace products from concept through to production?
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers to join a high-performing engineering team supporting the design, development and manufacture of advanced composite structures and aerospace systems. This is an excellent opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust engineering solutions in a highly regulated environment.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will join Farnborough team to support our activities within the Aerospace sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing, reviewing and improving engineering drawings and drawing packs.
- Supporting product definition activities, including GD&T application and configuration-controlled design changes.
- Contributing to composite structure design and development activities.
- Applying Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles throughout the design process.
- Supporting prototype, development and production build activities.
- Ensuring engineering data provides a clear and robust route from concept through to manufacturing and airworthiness activities.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Required Skills:
- Approximately 5-9 years of Mechanical Engineering experience.
- Experience producing and reviewing engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering design principles.
- Experience supporting design change management within a controlled engineering environment.
- Knowledge of composite structures and associated design considerations.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and DFMA principles.
- Experience supporting prototype and production build activities.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field, or relevant technical military background with equivalent hands-on experience.
