Company Overview
Our client is a video-first marketing agency based in Atlanta, USA. It works mainly with local service businesses such as roofing, exterior remodeling, cleaning, seasonal services, and dental practices, along with a handful of other brands. It plans to take on ecommerce clients in the future. Its clients have real sales teams, so the agency measures success by qualified leads from the right people, not by volume of cheap form fills. All creative is produced in-house.
Mission
To own paid media performance across about 10 client accounts and turn ad spend into qualified, sales-ready leads. The Media Buyer reads the data, explains what's working and why, and tells the creative team exactly what to make next. This role is for someone who can walk into an account, find where money is being wasted, and fix it. Not someone who launches campaigns and hopes.
Responsibilities
Meta Account Management (Primary)
- Build, launch, and optimize campaigns across about 10 client accounts at once, with clear weekly priorities on where time goes.
- Make sure ads reach the right people, meaning homeowners in the service area who actually need the service. Use lead form qualifying questions, exclusions, and the right conversion signals so Meta finds more people like the good leads.
- Structure accounts for how Meta's delivery works under the Andromeda retrieval system: consolidated campaigns, broad targeting where it makes sense, and creative diversity doing the targeting work.
- Spot and fix creative cannibalization, where a few ads take most of the spend and other potential winners never get enough delivery to prove themselves.
- Run disciplined creative testing so new concepts get a fair read without hurting the ads that already work.
- Diagnose performance drops fast, whether the cause is creative fatigue, auction pressure, tracking, the landing page, or the offer.
Budget Strategy
- Advise clients and the internal team on where to spend, how much, and when to scale or cut.
- Recommend budget splits between Meta and Google based on each client's data, not habit.
- Identify whether an account is limited by spend, by creative, or by the offer.
Tracking & Lead Quality
- Install, test, and maintain the Meta Pixel and Conversions API (CAPI) on every landing page and form, plus Google Ads conversion tracking and offline conversion uploads.
- Track which leads are qualified using the client's CRM (GoHighLevel, ServiceTitan, JobNimbus, or others) and feed that signal back to Meta and Google.
- Report cost per lead, cost per qualified lead, and lead quality trends in a way business owners can understand.
Creative Strategy
- Analyze which hooks, angles, formats, and offers are winning, and explain why.
- Give the creative team clear briefs on what to make next and how much volume is needed.
- Keep enough creative variety in each account to feed Meta's delivery system.
- No shooting or editing is required.
Google Ads
- Run keyword research, build search campaigns, and manage negatives, match types, and bidding.
- Set up and manage Local Services Ads (LSA) and Performance Max where they fit.
- Keep cost per lead in line and cut waste from irrelevant search terms.
Reporting & Client Support
- Pull performance reports whenever the team or a client needs them, with clear notes on what changed and why.
- Occasionally join client meetings when a deeper ad conversation is needed. The US-based team handles most client communication.
Requirements
Must Have
- 3+ years of hands-on media buying, with at least $50K/month in combined Meta spend managed personally.
- Experience running multiple client accounts at the same time, ideally at an agency.
- A track record you can prove with real numbers and screenshots, not just job titles.
- Working knowledge of how Andromeda and Advantage+ changed Meta account structure and creative testing.
- Meta Pixel and CAPI knowledge, including installing, testing, and troubleshooting them yourself, plus offline conversion tracking.
- Lead generation experience.
- Solid Google Search Ads skills, including keyword research and search term management.
- Clear written English, and the ability to explain results to a non-marketer business owner.
Nice to Have
- Experience with local service businesses or other lead gen for companies with a sales team.
- Ecommerce experience: ROAS-driven scaling, catalog and Advantage+ shopping campaigns, and Shopify or similar tracking setups.
- Experience with Local Services Ads.
- GoHighLevel experience: building or editing funnel pages and connecting forms and tracking. Automations and workflows are a bonus.
- Experience briefing video creative, especially UGC-style and founder-on-camera ads.
Not a Fit If
- You've only run ecommerce and have never managed lead gen accounts.
- You judge success by CTR and cheap leads instead of qualified leads from the right people.
- You need someone to tell you what to check in an account every day.
Tools
- Meta Ads Manager, Meta Pixel, Conversions API (CAPI), Advantage+
- Google Ads (Search, Local Services Ads, Performance Max)
- Offline conversion tracking
- CRMs: GoHighLevel, ServiceTitan, JobNimbus
- Shopify or similar ecommerce tracking setups (plus)
Success Metrics
- Cost per qualified lead lowered and kept under control across accounts.
- Lead quality improving, with a higher share of leads the client's sales team qualifies.
- Accurate tracking (Pixel, CAPI, offline conversions) live and verified on every account.
- Less wasted spend on both Meta and Google.
- Clear, data-backed creative briefs delivered on a steady cadence, with enough creative volume in every account.
- Timely, clear reporting that business owners understand.
