Search keeps changing. You’re the kind of person who wants to figure out what’s next and make it work for clients.
Walz Tetrick Advertising is looking for a Media Supervisor, SEO to lead organic search strategy across a diverse portfolio of clients. You’ll be our go-to expert for organic search, bringing strong technical expertise, strategic thinking and the hands-on skills to turn recommendations into results.
You’re comfortable digging into a technical audit, building a content roadmap and walking a client through what it all means for their business. You can independently assess where a brand stands, identify its biggest opportunities and lead the work to move it forward.
You’ll also help shape WTA’s approach to AI-powered discovery, integrating GEO, AEO and AIO into a strong SEO foundation. If you love connecting the dots between how people search, how technology evolves and how brands grow, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do:
-
Own the organic search strategy. Develop and execute SEO roadmaps aligned with each client’s business goals, audiences and growth opportunities.
-
Be a trusted voice in the room. Serve as WTA’s primary SEO expert, presenting strategies, results and recommendations in language clients and internal teams can understand and act on.
-
Dig into the technical details. Lead audits and ongoing monitoring across crawling, indexing, site architecture, internal linking, redirects, canonicalization, Core Web Vitals and page speed.
-
Turn findings into action. Create prioritized recommendations for web and development teams, validate implementation and measure the impact of changes.
-
Protect and strengthen visibility. Support website redesigns, migrations and launches, and identify opportunities for structured data and schema markup.
-
Make content work harder. Use keyword, topic, search intent and competitive research to uncover content gaps, develop briefs and guide improvements to titles, metadata, headings, copy and page structure.
-
Connect brands with local audiences. Develop local SEO strategies encompassing Google Business Profiles, listings, reviews, location pages, local content and structured data.
-
Help clients navigate what’s next. Monitor developments across Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini and other discovery platforms, translating meaningful changes into practical recommendations.
-
Build AI discovery into the plan. Evaluate content structure, authority, entity signals and other opportunities to help search engines and AI systems understand, surface and potentially cite client content.
-
Tell the story behind the numbers. Establish KPIs and competitive benchmarks, using Google Search Console, GA4 and SEO platforms to explain what happened, why it matters and what to do next.
-
Connect the work across disciplines. Partner with Paid Search, Media, Strategy, Creative, Analytics, Account Service and Web teams to integrate organic search into broader marketing efforts.
-
Keep the work moving—and the quality high. Manage priorities across clients while strengthening SEO processes, documentation, QA standards and best practices.
-
Help grow the practice. Contribute to new-business pitches, scopes, estimates, case studies and WTA’s point of view on search. Recommend tools and resources, share learnings and mentor junior team members as the practice grows.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
-
5+ years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably in an agency or environment supporting multiple clients.
-
A track record of independently developing and executing SEO strategies, from initial assessment through implementation and measurement.
-
Strong technical SEO expertise, including experience with structured data, website redesigns and migrations.
-
A solid command of on-page optimization, content strategy, keyword research and local SEO.
-
Experience with Google Search Console, GA4 and tools such as Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog or similar platforms.
-
Strong measurement and reporting skills, with the ability to connect organic visibility, traffic, engagement and conversions to business outcomes.
-
Working knowledge of GEO, AEO, AIO and the evolving relationship between traditional SEO and generative AI discovery.
-
The ability to turn complex technical findings into clear recommendations—and confidently explain them to people who don’t live in SEO every day.
-
Strong client communication and presentation skills, with the judgment to lead conversations about priorities, opportunities and results.
-
The ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines independently, with close attention to detail and a consistent commitment to QA.
-
Curiosity that keeps you learning, testing and asking better questions as search evolves.
-
Experience with enterprise or multi-location brands, including local SEO at scale.
-
Experience in healthcare, travel and hospitality, financial services, retail or other competitive search categories.
-
Experience collaborating directly with developers and website teams.
-
Familiarity with Looker Studio or other reporting and visualization platforms.
-
Experience evaluating how brands and content appear within AI-powered discovery platforms.
-
Experience contributing to new-business pitches, SEO scopes and strategic recommendations.
-
Experience mentoring or managing junior team members.
