Training & Development Leader in Knowledge and Learning As a Knowledge and Learning professional, you will play a strategic leadership role in shaping how our Global Medical Affairs teams learn, grow, and deliver on their mission. You will be responsible for proactively planning, implementing, and delivering scientific training globally, focusing on advancing knowledge of therapeutic areas, the treatment landscape, and emerging data. This role requires close cross-functional collaboration with Global Medical Scientific Communications, Clinical Development, and Medical Science Liaisons to ensure training strategies are aligned, integrated, and impactful. By driving a culture of scientific learning and excellence, you will ensure that medical teams are equipped with the scientific expertise needed, empowering them to advance patient care and achieve meaningful impact. Responsibilities Collaborate with Global Medical Affairs leadership to anticipate learning needs, align scientific training with organizational strategy, and ensure they equip teams with the expertise required to meet their objectives. Lead the end-to-end process of proactively planning, implementing, and delivering global scientific trainings aligned with medical and organizational priorities. Design and implement global scientific learning strategies that deepen expertise and prepare teams for the evolving therapeutic landscape. Partner with subject matter experts to develop high-quality scientific training content and materials internally, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and scientific rigor. Lead new hire and new-to-product onboarding, ensuring teams are equipped with a strong foundation in disease state, treatment landscape, data, and strategy to be effective in their roles. Serve as a lead in scientific training, helping shape the long-term vision of scientific education and positioning training as a driver of organizational excellence. Introduce new approaches, tools, and technologies, such as digital platforms, modular learning, and peer-to-peer exchange, to create engaging and impactful scientific training. Champion a culture of continuous scientific learning within Medical Affairs, fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and scientific leadership development. Adapt scientific training to diverse geographies and functions, tailoring approaches to meet the needs of global and regional medical teams. Some travel may be required, approximately 20%. Additional Skills & Qualifications A professional degree of Pharm.D., MD/DO, or PhD in a relevant medical science field such as biology, chemistry, or pharmacology. 5 or more years of biotech/pharmaceutical and/or clinical experience. Understanding of learning methodology and design. Excellent technical writing, oral presentation, and project management skills. Ability to critically analyze and summarize scientific literature. Understanding of the pharmaceutical commercialization process and knowledge of the legal and regulatory guidelines affecting promotion of prescription products. Ability to interface cross-functionally in a dynamic matrixed environment. Work Environment This role involves working in a fast-paced pharmaceutical environment, with a focus on creating and delivering scientific training globally. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and may need to travel approximately 20% of the time. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Thousand Oaks, CA.
