Your Skills:

• Experience: 2+ years of workers compensation bill review experience

• Education: High school diploma required

• Certifications: Medical Bill Reviewer Designation (40-hour initial certification plus 16 hours of continuing education every two years)

• Industry Knowledge: Codes and audits of workers’ compensation medical bills

Your Tasks:

• Claims: Responsible for checking all medical bills to determine reimbursements, bill pricing, and processing reconsideration request

• Codes: Utilize ICD-10 and CPT codes and ensure they are accurate.

• Spotting Errors: Consistently search for overcharges, duplicate billings, or billing errors.

• Communication: Connect with healthcare professionals in order to obtain any missing documentation or to confirm charges.

• Documentation: Ensure you properly document all paperwork and obtain all necessary billing information
