Medical Coding Analyst (Remote) Pay Rate: $25.00/hour Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST Location: 100% Remote Duration: Long-term contract opportunity Join a Growing Healthcare Review Team Are you a certified coding professional looking to expand your healthcare reimbursement and claims expertise? We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coding Analyst to support a rapidly growing healthcare review operation focused on payment determination and dispute resolution activities. What You'll Do Review healthcare claims and supporting documentation to facilitate payment determinations. Analyze claim information, CPT codes, reimbursement details, and insurance documentation. Validate and verify claim data for accuracy and completeness. Research case information and apply established guidelines to make objective payment recommendations. Review disputes involving emergency services, ambulance services, air ambulance, and other healthcare provider claims. Document findings and rationale within internal case management systems. Maintain productivity and quality standards while managing a high-volume workload. Collaborate with team members and leadership in a fast-paced review environment. Qualifications Required Active CPC or CPC-A certification . Understanding of medical billing, coding, reimbursement, and insurance claims processes. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Experience reviewing EOBs (Explanation of Benefits). Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently. Strong written communication and documentation skills. Comfortable navigating multiple systems and databases. Preferred Experience with appeals, claim reviews, or reimbursement analysis. Knowledge of emergency medicine, ambulance, or air ambulance billing. Familiarity with the No Surprises Act (NSA) and healthcare payment dispute processes. Professional or facility coding background . Medical billing experience combined with CPC-A certification. Adaptability and willingness to grow within a developing team environment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
