Role Description The Medical Director role is a part-time, remote position responsible for providing clinical oversight and guidance on health-related initiatives connected to Resistance DAO and its community. This role involves reviewing and advising on projects that touch medical, wellness, or health data domains, ensuring they align with evidence-based practice and applicable ethical standards. The Medical Director collaborates with founders, community members, and advisors to evaluate medical claims, risk profiles, and potential health impact of proposed projects. Day-to-day tasks include participating in governance discussions when medical expertise is needed, drafting or reviewing medical content for accuracy, and advising on compliance considerations in collaboration with legal and technical teams. The Medical Director also supports relationship-building with external physicians, medical organizations, and research partners to strengthen the platform’s credibility in health-related areas.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in clinical practice and general Medicine, with the ability to apply evidence-based guidelines in emerging digital and Web3 contexts.
  • Experience or specialization in one or more areas such as Cardiology, Neurology, or Oncology, enabling informed assessment of projects with specific clinical focus.
  • Demonstrated experience working with physicians and multidisciplinary clinical teams, including the ability to communicate complex medical concepts to non-medical stakeholders.
  • Advanced degree in Medicine (MD, DO, or equivalent) and active or prior clinical licensure in good standing.
  • Familiarity with digital health, health data, or research ethics; experience with decentralized technologies or Web3 is highly beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time environment.
  • Experience in advisory or leadership roles, such as medical leadership in startups, research organizations, or technology-driven health initiatives, is a plus.
