About the Role The Medical Director for Medical Oncology (Full-Time) is responsible for providing clinical oncology expertise regarding cancer treatment and diagnostics. The primary area of focus is on prior authorization reviews, but additional areas of focus could potentially include assisting with tasks as delineated below. This is a full-time role which includes four shifts per week between 8:30AM-8:00PM EST, as well as rotating weekend call. Primary Responsibilities Performs prior authorization reviews of chemotherapy treatment requests, which include peer-to-peer consultations with treating physicians, as needed Quality improvement activities focused on accuracy, efficiency, and rapid uptake of emerging evidence Serves as clinical expert for strategic initiatives focused on real-world oncology data and analytics Collaborates with nurses, pharmacists, other clinicians, and data analysts on research projects, publications, and presentations About You Medical Doctor or comparable degree required Board certification in an oncology focused specialty and current unrestricted Medical Doctor license in good standing recognized in the United States 3 years of post-training clinical practice experience Systems/Tools: MS Office Suite proficient About the Location OncoHealth is committed to remote, hybrid or in office work options. The majority of the team will be remote or in hybrid work arrangements with offices in Atlanta, GA and Guaynabo, PR.
