Role:The Medical Staff Scheduler is responsible for the coordination and oversight of patient scheduling for medical service providers to include APRNs and physicians.
• Schedules visits especially F2F compliance visits following strict Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.
• Works closely with affiliate medical directors to ensure productivity is met by medical staff.
• Contact patients and families to schedule medical staff visits.
Qualifications:
College degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of (3) years of related work experience in the healthcare field including prior experience in a contact call center environment and/or medical staff scheduling and/or clinical patient care experience
- Previous experience utilizing an electronic medical record as well as scheduling software
- Strong Excel skills including the ability to input/format/filter/sort data, create and manage worksheets/formulas and analyze data
- Proficiency in Teams
- Previous hospice experience including the ability to voice compassion towards patients and families
- Strong medical terminology skills preferably related to hospice
- Able to perform sedentary work with frequent interruptions
- Demonstrated excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks and meet scheduling deadlines
- Ability to effectively handle stressful situations professionally and calmly
- Ability to demonstrate patient scheduling skills and communication effectively
- Information seeking / probing skills
- Accurate knowledge transfer
- Listening, understanding and responding
- Able to multi-task (think, talk, type) in a fast-paced environment, utilizing interpersonal skills to maximize caller reassurance
- Ability to work in a cooperative team environment

- Skilled in computer operations; proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, and proven data entry and navigation skills

Compensation Pay Range:
$20.26 - $30.16This position requires consent to drug and/or alcohol testing after a conditional offer of employment is made, as well as on-going compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
