The Meetings Management Consultant (MMC T1)) is responsible for providing strategic recommendations, implementations, and ongoing maintenance of client's M&E technology platform, most frequently Cvent. There are 3 main areas of focus: Consulting & Project Management, System Maintenance & Governance, and Technology Implementations. The MMC also advises and implements business process/workflow automation, optimizes current technology uses, and recommends solutions for better technology adoption. This role interfaces directly with client’s and their stakeholders and could include troubleshooting, user training, and issue resolution. The MMCs often acts as an internal and external SME on M&E technology platforms and support sales and marketing activities. What you will do here: Consulting & Project Management Manage and maintain positive client relationships Nurture existing client relationships to generate new opportunities to expand the account Manage or oversee multiple projects effectively Act as strategic advisor to clients, recommending solutions that align with their priorities and business needs Support projects for clients seeking assistance with Cvent implementations, optimization, and SMMP initiatives Support enhancements or innovations of new SOP’s for strategic initiatives Recommend automation enhancements to create process efficiencies and adoption Prepare and present consulting deliverables such as proposals, business cases, deployment plans, meeting agendas, labor/time reports, SWOT analyses, RACI charts, and ROI estimates, as necessary to support client and business requirements Coordinate meetings between client, internal, and/or technology providers Engineer workflow and business processes; diagramming in Visio Act as liaison with tech providers to keep current on new features and releases; convey information to relevant stakeholders Identify opportunities for new or expanded ISG service offerings (including opportunities for M&IW strategic partners) Self-manage through difficult situations and projects pulling in ISG resources as necessary Work with other teams on strategic projects as necessary Technology Implementations Partner with Lead Project Manager on all aspects of the project Provide Cvent configuration and testing support of M&IW’s and clients’ Cvent accounts Consolidate and organize deliverables necessary for implementation Act as liaison between the client stakeholder team and Cvent Consolidate and organize deliverables necessary for implementation Support user training or to be part of ‘train the trainer’ program Support the development & execution of a technology roll-out communication plan System Maintenance and Governance Responsible for overall system "wellness" and maintenance Manage process automation gatekeeping (Ex: Back-end status changes, voiding MRFs, etc.) User management: Add and delete users, manage user permissions and visibility, monitor user access, usage and behaviors, manage available logins/seats Act as company ‘Power-User’ responsible for user adoption Provide training & support on the way the client uses Cvent and other applicable best practices Respond to user inquiries requiring client-specific account and process expertise, troubleshooting, or issue escalation/resolution SMM related system maintenance and routine updates/edits: Meeting Request Form (MRF), Event Portal, calendars, custom fields, workflow automation (triggers, notifications, statuses, etc.) Sourcing (CSN), Event Management and Survey Module enterprise settings and template (Event, RFP, Survey) management/maintenance Enterprise reporting support: Recommend data accuracy and integrity practices (Ex: Audit and spot check data), assist in creating enterprise-level reports, and clean-up/organization of saved reports (Ex: Establishing report naming conventions, removing unused reports) Maintain any existing company specific platform/Cvent documentation, workflows and SOPs Serve as the primary point of contact with the Cvent account team on enterprise-related system usage and strategic oversight Manage product feedback including submitting or escalating tickets to resolve system bugs and tracking and monitoring progress towards client-specific feature requests/updates Who you will work with: Reporting to the Sr Director – ISG Internal team members from ISG Internal team members from multiple departments External Clients and Key Stakeholders Vendor Partners What you will bring: REQUIRED: 3-5 years of experience using Cvent, with expertise in the SMMP module of Cvent. Experience with different Cvent modules including CSN, Events, Budgets, including back end configurations. BA or BS degree (or equivalent 4-6 years of meetings industry experience) Technology proficient, understands the use of web-based applications and has a general understanding of database concepts (for reporting purposes) General understanding of meeting-related business processes Proficient with Microsoft productivity tools, including Vision Onsite Physical Activities (Non-Essential Functions) This position includes a set of nonessential physical activities associated with onsite event support. These activities are not fundamental to the core duties of the Meetings Management Consultant, System Administrator, Tier 1 role but may be required during live event execution. While the essential functions of the position center on planning, coordination, communication, client management, and project leadership, certain onsite tasks involve physical activity that supports event operations and if unable to perform these physical activities the company needs to know. Physical activities include, but are not limited to the following: Movement & Positioning : Frequent standing and walking are required, particularly during event setup and teardown, registration, and onsite administration. Extended periods on one’s feet are common throughout an event, often up to 4 hours without a rest break. A typical onsite day may last 8 to 14 hours, depending on client needs and agreements. Sitting : Occasional sitting is required during planning meetings, travel to and from event sites, computer-based work, or registration duties. Lifting and Carrying : Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull event materials, supplies, signage, or equipment weighing 25 to 40 pounds. Items over 25 pounds require assistance from another M&IW team member. Reaching and Grasping : Event setup and breakdown may involve reaching overhead and handling tools or materials. Bending/Kneeling/Crouching : Occasionally required during event setup and breakdown. Repetitive Motions : Repeated hand and arm movements may occur during tasks such as preparing registration, arranging event spaces, or setting up displays. Travel Requirements : Frequent travel to event sites, venues, and client locations, often involving overnight stays. This may include navigating airports, train stations, hotels, and conference centers. Operating Vehicles : Occasional driving may be required to transport materials or travel to off-site event locations. This applies only to approved drivers with prior authorization from the Onsite Lead. Working in Varying Environments : Events occur in diverse settings, including indoor venues (conference centers, hotels) and outdoor spaces. Fluctuating temperatures, weather conditions, crowded or noisy environments, and varying lighting levels may be encountered.
