Member Engagement Associate: Northwest Territory Modern Woodmen of America is looking for a relationship-focused, highly organized Member Engagement Associate to help strengthen member engagement, chapter growth and the consistent delivery of our fraternal mission across assigned regions. In this role, you’ll serve as a key connection between the Fraternal Department and regional teams, providing coaching, training and operational support to help chapter leaders plan meaningful events, create positive member experiences and support organizational goals. This position supports the Northwest territory and will require frequent travel to assigned regions in the United States. States in the Northwest territory include: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota and Iowa. Applicants must reside within the territory with convenient access to a major airport. Modern Woodmen of America is one of the nation’s largest fraternal benefit societies, with over $18 billion assets. Fraternals are unique membership organizations that pair the “member-owned” characteristic of a mutual insurance company with the “social mission” characteristic of a service organization. They unite individuals with common bonds, provide a variety of life insurance and investment products, and form one of the nation’s most effective volunteer networks. Responsibilities: Coach and support chapter event planners, regional staff and field representatives to strengthen leadership effectiveness and ensure consistent execution. Advise regional teams on member-focused event planning, event calendars, hospitality, volunteer service, experience design and follow up practices. Collaborate with field managers and Fraternal Department leaders to identify engagement opportunities, develop event strategies and support regional plans. Assess regional training needs and partner with the Fraternal Development team to create and deliver tools, resources and training plans. Attend select regional events to support leaders, observe the member experience and identify best practices or process improvement opportunities. Serve as a communication link between assigned regions and the home office, helping align priorities, share feedback and support regional meetings. Monitor regional fraternal activity, member engagement and growth metrics, then prepare reports that highlight accomplishments, challenges and opportunities. Support regional operations, including chapter boards, chapter budget guidance and adherence to policies and procedures. What we need: A valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation are required, as this position involves travel, including trips over longer distances throughout the assigned territory. Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. Five years of related experience leading successful programs and events. Strong ability to collaborate with internal partners, coach and develop others, communicate effectively and deliver presentations. Experience planning and facilitating training, managing competing priorities and adapting to changing direction. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed to support regional events and meetings is required. Strong organizational, time management, budgeting and financial skills. Ability to understand how sales activities contribute to member growth and engagement. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment. Previous experience with event planning, logistics, participant experience and execution preferred. What we offer: Pay: The annual range for this position is $64,000.00-$70,000.00. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. Candidates outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill and education. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employment-based sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time, nor can we guarantee future sponsorship. Work Arrangements: This is a full-time, remote, salaried position. Remote positions work from home and may be required to report periodically to the Home Office located in Rock Island, Illinois. Work hours may vary based on travel schedules, regional events and business needs. Stability: Modern Woodmen has been Modern Since 1883® and exists for our members.
