Role Description

The Board Member for Middle East Transactions will oversee the firm's capital advisory mandates involving Gulf investors, with a focus on transactions in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Doha and Kuwait. This is a part-time remote role. The Board Member will advise on deal structure, market positioning and relationships with sovereign wealth funds, family offices and institutional allocators, and will help shape the firm's strategy for GCC markets.

The Board Member will review and challenge the transaction pipeline, support the firm's risk management and compliance practices, and help set the standards the firm follows when representing clients. Regular responsibilities include:

- attending board and committee meetings

- advising on key negotiations and term sheets

- mentoring senior team members on Middle East markets

- drawing on personal networks to support business development where appropriate

The Board Member will work closely with the leadership team so that every mandate is handled discreetly, professionally and in line with the firm's governance and ethical standards.

Qualifications

- Extensive experience in capital markets, investment banking or private capital advisory, including direct work with GCC investors and on cross-border transactions.

- Board-level or senior governance experience, including oversight of risk, compliance and fiduciary duties in financial services or a related sector.

- Strong knowledge of Middle East financial markets, including sovereign wealth funds, family offices, institutional allocators and regional regulation.

- A track record of contributing to transaction strategy and structure, including debt and equity raises, term sheet review and negotiation.

- Excellent relationship and communication skills, with the ability to work with senior stakeholders across cultures and a discreet, trusted advisory style.

- Strong integrity and sound judgement, with a commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory business practices.

Salary

This is a commission based position.
