Role Description As a Member of the Supervisory Board at YooKatale, the individual will provide strategic oversight, governance, and guidance to support the company’s mission and long-term growth. The role includes reviewing and challenging management decisions, monitoring financial performance and risk, and ensuring alignment with YooKatale’s customer-focused values and hybrid business model. Daily activities may involve participating in board and committee meetings, evaluating strategic initiatives, contributing to policy and compliance frameworks, and supporting stakeholder communication. This is a contract role based in Geneva with a hybrid working arrangement, allowing some work from home while attending scheduled in-person meetings and strategic sessions.

Qualifications

• Strong governance, board oversight, and corporate strategy skills, with experience in supervisory or non-executive roles.
• Financial literacy, including familiarity with budgeting, risk management, and performance monitoring in growing organizations.
• Knowledge of digital platforms, hybrid business models, or technology-enabled services, ideally in food, retail, or social impact sectors.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across cultures and disciplines.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer-centric values, ethical decision-making, and long-term sustainability.
• Experience operating in international or emerging market contexts; exposure to African markets is an advantage.
• Relevant academic background in business, economics, law, public policy, or related fields is beneficial.
• Capacity to dedicate sufficient time to board duties, including preparation for meetings and participation in strategic discussions.
