We are seeking a Member Services Specialist to serve as a key point of contact for APWA members and prospective members, delivering exceptional service and helping ensure a positive and engaging member experience. About the Member Services Specialist Role The Member Services Specialist serves as the primary customer service contact for APWA members, prospective members, volunteers, and staff. This role is responsible for responding to member inquiries, processing membership applications and payments, maintaining accurate member records, and providing support for membership programs, products, and services. The position plays an important role in member recruitment, retention, and engagement by delivering timely, accurate, and member-focused service. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and confidence working with technology and databases in a fast-paced environment. This individual enjoys helping others, solving problems, and building positive relationships with members and stakeholders. Qualifications for Success Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of two years of customer service, membership, marketing, or related experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications and other technology platforms. Experience working with databases or association management systems preferred. Association experience and/or customer service call center experience is a plus. Why APWA?
