Member Services Support Specialist (1-Year Contract)
The Member Services Support Specialist plays a key role in building relationships with our member practices, increasing awareness of company initiatives, and supporting the Member Services Field Team. This remote-first role primarily involves virtual consults and phone calls, with occasional field visits. The MSS Specialist must have a deep understanding of VP’s offerings to guide and support members in utilizing the services that best fit their needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Member Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with member practices, serving as a key point of contact for inquiries, support and tailored solutions.
- Support the onboarding of new shareholders and collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless member experience.
Sales Development:
- Generate and develop leads across Central Ontario through phone, email, virtual meetings and regular field visits.
- Identify sales opportunities using member needs, sales data and market trends, and coordinate follow-up with the Member Services team.
- Support initiatives focused on increasing member engagement and sales growth.
CRM & PIMS Support:
- Maintain accurate lead, sales activity and member information within the CRM system.
- Support Central Ontario practices with PIMS setup, inventory management and purchase-order processes.
- Maintain product cross-reference information and provide remote technical support to practices as required.
Marketing & Event Support:
- Support the planning and execution of events, including logistics, accommodations, setup and on-site coordination.
- Maintain relationships and coordinate communications with key industry associations.
Health & Safety:
- Works in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and follows VP’s policies and procedures
- Conducts self with regard for the safety of all employees
- Participates in health and safety training, meetings, and drills as required; is aware of safety and evacuation procedures
- Reports any health & safety violations or hazards to appropriate contacts (JHSC Representatives, Supervisors, Managers)
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP):
- Follows and understands all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with respect to Good Manufacturing Practices

Skills and Knowledge Required
- 5 years of direct experience in the veterinary field
- Familiar with veterinary concepts, practices and procedures’
- Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Problem solving skills
- Excellent written/oral communication skills
- Excellent problem solving and decision making
- Organization/time management
- The ability to be flexible with hours and travel occasionally
- The ability to establish and maintain professional networks and connections
- Knowledge of Practice Information Management Software’s (PIMS) an asset
Schedule and Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Remote

This position will be responsible for our Central Ontario territory.
Compensation
$68,359.00 - $97,656.00
NOTE: Salary will be determined based on the successful applicant's experience and qualifications.
