Salary £30K - £35K plus commission - Remote working

What would it take to get 4,000 healthcare professionals talking about the same organisation?

We've been retained on an exclusive basis by a well-established, not-for-profit membership organisation that serves the needs of primary healthcare professionals across the UK. With around half of the eligible profession already on board, the organisation is entering an ambitious new growth phase and is looking for a Development Executive to lead the charge on membership recruitment and student engagement.

This newly shaped role has been created because the organisation's events and partnerships function is now running brilliantly — and it's time to give member growth, student engagement and relationship-building the focused attention it deserves.

No two days will look the same in this varied, relationship-led role. One day you might be presenting at a university careers fair or supporting a student committee meeting; the next you'll be picking up the phone to build genuine relationships with practising healthcare professionals across the UK. You'll own the full journey — engaging final-year students and new graduates, winning back lapsed members, and bringing non-members into the fold through consultative, phone-first conversations rather than another email in someone's inbox. Success here means real, lasting relationships rather than one-off transactions — this organisation wants members for the next fifteen years, not the next fifteen minutes.

We're looking for someone with a genuine track record in sales, business development, account management, membership or recruitment, who knows how to build trust and turn conversations into commitments. You don't need a healthcare background — just real curiosity about the people you're speaking to and the confidence to represent a respected national organisation.

You'll be energetic, proactive and self-motivated, equally comfortable structuring your own week as you are picking up the phone to a stranger. Above all, you'll be personable and persistent in equal measure — someone who can be gentle in approach while staying tenacious in pursuit of the outcome.

You'll join a small, fast-paced and genuinely supportive team where your contribution is visible and valued, not lost in a large organisation. This is a fully remote role, with regular opportunities to travel across the UK for events, university visits and face-to-face time with colleagues and members.

On offer is a salary of £35,000 (full-time equivalent, with part-time considered), plus a profit-based bonus scheme, pension contribution, private health insurance, generous annual leave and an annual wellbeing budget. If you're ready for a role with genuine variety, ownership and the chance to shape something from the ground up, this could be exactly what you're looking for.
