MENA Policy and Escalations Associate

A leading global technology company is looking for an Arabic-English policy professional with approximately one to two years’ relevant experience.

This is a hands-on associate-level position with no people-management responsibility. It would suit someone who has started building experience in public policy, government affairs, trust and safety, online safety, content moderation or regional research and now wants broader exposure within the technology sector.

The Offer:

• Contract through to July 2027
• Annual salary of £47,000 pa
• London remote, supporting stakeholders across MENA time zones

What you will do:

• Monitor policy, regulatory and online-safety developments across the MENA region.
• Research emerging risks involving fraud, scams, hacked accounts, harmful content and platform access.
• Assess content and account-related requests from regional stakeholders.
• Identify the correct internal teams and coordinate cases through to resolution.
• Follow up on account verification, ownership and access-restoration issues.
• Maintain accurate case notes and prepare clear stakeholder updates.
• Escalate urgent, sensitive or unresolved issues appropriately.
• Support team projects, budgets, contracts, invoicing, calendars and regional events.
• Manage several changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and discretion.

What you will bring:

• Approximately one to two years’ relevant professional experience.
• Professional fluency in Arabic and English, including strong written communication.
• Practical knowledge of MENA political, social and cultural environments.
• Experience researching policy, regulatory, social or online-safety issues.
• Exposure to stakeholder requests, case management, escalations or content moderation.
• Strong organisation and the ability to follow issues through to completion.
• Confidence communicating across different teams and functions.
• A genuine interest in technology, public policy, AI and online safety.

Experience may come from a technology company, government body, regulator, consultancy, policy institute, civil-society organisation, media organisation or trust and safety team.

You do not need extensive senior-level experience. The priority is strong Arabic-English communication, credible MENA knowledge and evidence that you can research an issue, exercise judgement and coordinate the right people to resolve it.
