Mental Health Therapist Job Description Job Title: Mental Health Therapist - Credent Care LLC Location: 2719 W Division St Suite 9, St Cloud MN 56301 Company: Credent Care LLC Job Type: Contract – Full-time/Part-time Salary: Contract/Commission/Grant Work setting/location: Outpatient Office and/or Hybrid Ability to commute/relocate: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred), having reliable internet and computer access (REQUIRED) Credent Care LLC is a client-focused home and community-based service provider, providing quality care and support to our communities. We are currently seeking a dedicated and versatile Mental Health Therapist to join our team as we continue to build and provide the best services for our clients. Job Summary To provide culturally competent and trauma focused individual, family, or couples therapy for our diverse population of clients. Therapists will work with our clients with emotional, behavioral, and mental health disorders within a culturally driven and trauma informed framework. Provide clinical support for non-licensed practitioners to assist in delivering culturally competent and trauma informed services to our clients. Scope of the Position A mental health professional has full authority to independently practice, within the scope of practice of their professional license, and according to Company policies and procedures and relevant state and federal statutes, rules, and regulations. Duties and Responsibilities Perform diagnostic assessments to determine a client’s eligibility for mental health services Provide therapy to individuals, family, and couples in an outpatient setting utilizing creativity and autonomy in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals Provide quality culturally and trauma focused services for clients, and assume primary responsibility for developing, writing, implementing, evaluating, and revising overall personalized individual treatment goals and plans with the collaboration of the client and the treatment team in a timely and professional manner Respond appropriately to crisis situations and provide support to other staff as needed including appropriate interventions for the crisis situation and follow through of the clinical supervisor’s directives as needed Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with Credent Care staff, other practitioners, vendors, clients, interpreters, and other agency workers about any important client updates Encourage client relationship and regular communication, coordinate services with other health care providers, interpreter, vocational workers, etc to ensure that client receives quality service to meet their needs Maintain a manageable caseload and be able to sustain attention to detail Accurately document services and complete progress notes and submit within 24-48 hours in a timely and professional manner Complete any other required assessments, forms, and documents in a timely manner asked of by your supervisor Attend group/individual clinical supervision meetings/trainings Attend and participate in required clinical staff meetings and trainings Meet with supportive supervision as needed Ensure compliance with DHS regulations Ensure compliance with your specific board including keeping license valid and completing any required trainings related to your licensing board Complete trainings required by Credent Care in timely manner Possible outreach and other company projects to help promote Credent Care and the Mental Health programs Qualifications: Clinical Trainee (non-licensed) Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy Working towards licensure as an LP, LPCC, LICSW or LMFT Engaging in supervision to have oversight and complete necessary requirements based on the respective board. A mental health clinical trainee must engage in supervision to complete the necessary requirements based on their respective board under the valid license of the mental health clinical supervisor's governing health-related licensing board and must only provide services to a client within the scope of practice determined by the applicable health-related licensing board. Mental Health Professional (licensed) Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy Licensed as an LP, LICSW, LMFT or LPCC A mental health professional must maintain a valid license with the mental health professional's governing health-related licensing board and must only provide services to a client within the scope of practice determined by the applicable health-related licensing board. Qualifications for Both Clearance from DHS and sexual exploitations screening. Successfully complete the requirements of a background check. Must adhere to licensure ethics and regulations. In-service training/education is required to obtain/maintain licensure. Experience and knowledge of the most current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) categories representing the range of mental health disorders. Working knowledge and experience in providing evidence based therapeutic interventions and therapy approaches that are considered as the best practice of treating the presenting concern, including trauma-informed and culturally centered therapies. Skills & Abilities Must have the following foundational skills: organization, decision making, critical thinking, analytical, coaching, leadership, conflict resolution, interpersonal effectiveness, accountability, and the ability to demonstrate professional boundaries. Professional communication skills, including proactively and efficiently communicating with clients, interpreters, and other parties if sessions are canceled or rescheduled Understanding and proficiency using Zoom or other tele-health programs Basic computer skills required Proficient in the use of Procentive to document clinical care (preferred, but not required) Mandated reporting Must be able to use and maintain an organized daily schedule independently Must be able to understand and communicate the English language and proficiency in other languages is a bonus Work with culturally diverse populations (preferred, but not required) Ability to work independently, be flexible and able to meet deadlines Provide excellent service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in your community Benefits: Commission Based Pay with a range of 55-65% of sessions completed.
