About Uno Alla Volta

Uno Alla Volta, part of Guild Brands, brings artisan-made goods to customers and tells the stories of the makers behind them. We believe creative expression exists in everyone, and we work to open doors for artists, makers, and designers who haven't always had a place to be seen.

Our team works by five shared behaviors: we act like owners, we find a way, we are urgent, we have empathy, and we always learn. If you're curious, resourceful, and care about every detail, you'll fit right in.

About the role

As our Merchandising Intern, you'll keep our product engine running: accurate product data, organized samples, and every photoshoot ready to go. You'll report to the Merchandising team and work alongside them on real seasonal assortments, from vendor follow-ups to styling prep on set.

The internship runs for the Spring 2027 semester, for 10–12 weeks. It's a hybrid role based in North Branford, CT, with 2–3 days a week on-site to handle samples and support photoshoots.

This is a hands-on internship. You'll leave with practical merchandising experience, mentorship from our team, and work you can add to your portfolio.

What you'll do

  • Keep samples organized. Receive, catalog, and track sample check-in and check-out so the team always knows where every piece is.
  • Own the details in our product data. Update SKUs, pricing, vendor information, and seasonal line sheets, and keep merchandising documents accurate.
  • Help bring products to life on set. Pull samples for seasonal photoshoots, assist with shoot setup and styling prep, and handle vendor returns afterward.
  • Partner with our vendors. Confirm sample status, ship dates, and product details, and follow up so deliveries arrive on time.
  • Shape what comes next. Research products and competitors, support sourcing, and join assortment planning meetings for upcoming seasons.

  • An undergraduate studying Merchandising, Fashion, Retail, Marketing, Business, or a related field; juniors and seniors preferred.
  • An organized, detail-oriented communicator who can juggle several deadlines in a fast-paced creative setting.
  • Confidence with Excel, Word, and Google Workspace.
  • A genuine interest in artisan goods, storytelling, and brand development.

Nice to have: experience with Shopify or a similar e-commerce platform.
