HomeServices of AmericaDirect and coordinate the work of Accounts Payable staff. Manage the accuracy, compliance and timeliness for processing and payment of invoices and employee expense reimbursements. Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) Common job activities are listed below; actual position responsibilities may vary. Refer to your manager or human resources for specific duties and performance expectations. Manage operations for accounts payable and employee expense reimbursement processing and payment. Distribute work to staff, monitor results and resolve discrepancies. Ensure compliance with company policies and that month-end close timelines are met. (25-30%) Review and approve accounts payable transactions, employee expense reimbursements and perform necessary reconciliations. Generate monthly financial and variance reports. (25-30%) Perform administrative activities necessary for management of the department; employee safety, selection, development, salary administration, counseling, motivation, and performance evaluation. (15-20%) Plan, organize, measure, and report the work performed within the department. May assist with the preparation of the annual budget, analyze and interpret results. (15-20%) Apply organizational policies and assure adherence to departmental procedures. Assist with the establishment of department goals and objectives. (5-10%) Provide assistance and act as liaison with other departments, units, and organizations of the company with questions and/or discrepancies. Notify employees of changes in policies, procedures, and/or rules. (5-10%) Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field; or equivalent work experience. Experience: 5 to 8 years of operational accounting experience, including three years supervisory management responsibilities. Knowledge and Skills: Strong calculator and computer skills; proficiency in Excel, Access and Word and general accounting software programs. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills. Effective interpersonal skills and leadership abilities. Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and projects concurrently. Must have good organizational skills with high analysis, accuracy, quality, and detail orientation. Industry knowledge preferred Wage: $104,000 - $126,000 annually; actual wage is based upon education and experience. Potential for annual discretionary bonus.
