Are you the technical expert who can keep our identity systems and Microsoft 365 services secure, resilient and performing at their best? If yes, join us!

This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting the technology platforms that underpin the delivery of essential Council services. You will provide senior technical expertise across our Microsoft identity and productivity services, ensuring they remain secure, reliable and fit for the future.

This is an expert-level technical role providing leadership, support and development across the Council's Microsoft identity and productivity services. You will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance, enhancement and governance of our identity platforms, including on-premises Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, ensuring these critical services remain secure, resilient and highly available.

Working as part of a skilled technical team, you will provide expert support across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune and Microsoft Copilot. You will proactively identify and resolve complex technical issues, implement service improvements, and ensure platforms are optimised for performance, security and reliability.

As the Council's Microsoft 365 Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation and governance of Microsoft 365 services and emerging technologies, including Copilot, Microsoft Fabric and the Power Platform. Acting as a technical lead and subject matter expert, you will ensure new capabilities are introduced securely, integrated effectively with existing services, and governed in line with the Council's information governance, compliance and cyber security requirements.

We are looking for candidates who:
  • Significant experience of supporting Microsoft technologies in a large or complex enterprise environment.

  • Strong technical knowledge of core Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams and Intune.

  • Experience of supporting identity, access management and authentication services.

  • Experience of diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues across integrated Microsoft services.

  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 administration, security, governance, and compliance requirements.
