About the Role
Build AI-powered financial software for institutional investment teams as part of a team working across AI implementation and full-stack development. You will turn complex research, analytics, and investment workflows into production-ready applications, delivering quickly and incorporating direct user feedback.
What You'll Do
Develop user-facing AI features, including research intelligence, natural language queries, automated summaries, and agentic workflows.
Build agentic pipelines, orchestration layers, and MCP-connected data sources using suitable AI frameworks and tools.
Develop end-to-end applications for portfolio analytics, risk management, and investment research, from backend APIs to responsive interfaces.
Create and maintain Python APIs and reliable ETL pipelines for financial data, including positions, securities, risk metrics, and research signals.
Build React interfaces that help investment teams work clearly and efficiently with complex financial data.
Implement performance and risk analytics using time-series and linear algebra tools, and iterate based on user feedback.
What We're Looking For
Three to eight years of experience as an applied AI engineer building agentic AI products and features for users, including taking products from initial concept to launch.
Strong Python and API development experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django, plus experience with React, SQL, and Azure.
Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, MCP servers, agentic frameworks such as LangChain, and prompt engineering.
A practical understanding of the agentic loop and a track record of using AI tools effectively to build applications on existing AI infrastructure.
Experience developing user-facing applications, with a focus on applied engineering rather than model research, training, or fine-tuning.
Interest in finance and how institutional investors make decisions, ideally supported by experience in institutional investing, fintech, or another data-intensive quantitative field.
Comfort operating in unstructured environments and solving loosely defined problems.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary is $200,000 to $250,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
Hybrid role based in New York, United States.
