We are recruiting for our office in Vilnius and are looking for our new team member to join us on January 4, 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain integrations for our payment systems and local acquiring platforms.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in collaboration with your team of engineers.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues. Participate in operational work when needed.
- Work with frameworks like Spring and Hibernate to build and maintain our systems.
- Contribute to performance enhancements and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and solutions.
- Perform code reviews, design reviews, architecture reviews.
- Build business knowledge around the payment industry and Wallee specific products.
- Boost your productivity using available AI tools.
Qualifications
We seek someone curious, eager to grow, and active in contributing to our team. You must have:
- At least 3 years of proven working experience in Java development.
- A Bachelor’s degree or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or relevant experience).
- Good knowledge of Java programming and object-oriented principles.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- A good knowledge of version control systems like Git.
- A good knowledge of build tools like Maven or Gradle.
- A good knowledge of Spring and JPA.
- A good understanding of REST APIs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
- Serious, responsible and autonomous.
- Sociable and easy to work with.
Bonus points
While not required, the following skills and experiences would make you stand out:
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of DDD principles.
- Experience with front end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, React).
- Knowledge of containerisation tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright.
- Interest in secure coding practices and payment technologies.
