About the Role
Join a collaborative trust and estate litigation practice at an established Bay Area law firm. You will handle contested probate matters with growing autonomy while building client relationships and contributing to the development of the team.
What You'll Do
Handle trust and estate disputes, including will and trust contests, fiduciary duty claims, accounting disputes, and removal actions.
Represent trustees, executors, administrators, beneficiaries, seniors, and families in contested probate and financial elder abuse matters.
Work with senior attorneys on case strategy, legal research, briefing, negotiation, and trial preparation.
Communicate directly with clients and help develop lasting client relationships.
Support team development, including mentoring junior associates as appropriate.
What We're Looking For
Four to six years of experience specifically practicing trust and estate litigation.
Demonstrated litigation experience with probate and trust disputes, including matters such as will contests, fiduciary duty claims, accounting disputes, or removal actions.
Experience representing trustees, executors, administrators, or beneficiaries in contested matters.
Experience with financial elder abuse litigation is valuable.
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
Strong analytical, negotiation, research, writing, and communication skills, with a collaborative approach and interest in growing into a leadership role.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range is $175,000 to $225,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
This is a hybrid role based in San Mateo, California, with regular in-office presence.
