Mission Integration Lead

The SMIT program is developing a vulnerability management solution focused on the replacement of EOL/EOS hardware and software across the Naval Enterprise Network. Leidos currently has an opening for Mission Integration Lead for this effort. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to help advance the Navy’s mission. SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under SMIT, the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.

This position requires someone with extensive Program/Project Management experience. The ideal candidate for this position will be highly motivated and have working knowledge of scheduling, staffing, and organizational coordination. The ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented, fast-paced and mission-focused environment is a must.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for recruiting and staffing activities on SMIT with a specific focus on vulnerability management activities.

Develops and tracks staffing metrics – number of openings, percent on-board, lead times, turnover, etc.

Coordinate with the government to plan human logistics for complex IT remediation projects within the assigned locations setting priorities for resources to meet or exceed scheduled deployments.

Maintains the relationship with the Government Access Lead and mission owners.

Owns and publishes the rolling master schedule (4-week firm / 12-week planning).

Owns everything on the human side of deployments: site access, securing maintenance windows, and confirming afterward that the mission still works.

Builds the site access profile for each site and measures actual lead times for every credential and authorization type:

• Base/installation entry authorization (VAR, base access, building access, etc.)
• Badge or credential validity for the specific facility
• Escorts identified, available, and present
• Facility and room access at the specific time
• Claimant approval of the outage window
• Freeze calendar clear (change freeze, exercise, inspection, mission event, holiday)
• Physical access to the rack (keys, cages, adjacent-tenant coordination)

Provides the site access go/no-go recommendation.

Adjudicates competing window demands across sites.

Escalates access constraints to the Government Access Lead.

Adjudicates resource reallocation between competing sites.

Communicate critical and time sensitive program-related information directly to senior NMCI leadership.

Build and leverage strong relationships both with the customer and with Leidos peers to develop and execute risk mitigations and issue resolutions.

Elicits and documents impact thresholds and verification criteria from each mission owner.

Establishes the claimant fatigue index definition and baselines it.

Basic Qualifications

-Requires BA/BS Degree in a related field, and 8 plus years combined experience managing large, complex programs information technology programs. Generally has 7+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.

-Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active DOD Secret Security Clearance.

-Prior programmatic (cost, schedule, and performance) experience managing programs or task orders.

-Experienced people manager, leading large, geographically dispersed teams.

-Experience developing and delivering communications with the supported organization’s senior executives and direct accountability for managed activities.

-Work proposals, coordinate with corporate and program personnel to deliver a corporate approved

proposal.

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to succinctly convey ideas.

-Ability to drive team culture with emphasis on Leidos leadership values and behaviors.

-Experience managing relationships with senior DoD/Government customers.

-Ability to travel to support in person customer engagements.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

-Ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

-Prior Navy, NGEN or SMIT experience highly preferable.

-Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) project management experience/certification.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
