MLRO / Responsible for Compliance (RC) / Compliance Officer Location: Luxembourg Contract Type: Permanent About the Role We are seeking an experienced MLRO / Responsible for Compliance (RC) / Compliance Officer to join our Luxembourg team. The role covers AML/CFT and broader compliance responsibilities, including acting as RC for client structures where we provide this service. This position is suited to a hands-on compliance professional who can be readily validated by the CSSF and who enjoys improving, industrialising, and automating compliance processes. Key Responsibilities Act as MLRO and/or RC (as applicable) for the business and for client mandates when the service is contracted, including overseeing day-to-day AML/CFT and compliance activities. Own and maintain the compliance framework: policies, procedures, controls, monitoring plan, and escalation pathways. Review and challenge high-risk onboarding and periodic reviews, including complex structures, beneficial ownership, and source of funds/wealth. Ensure timely filing and follow-up on suspicious activity reporting and related communications, when required. Lead and document risk assessments (enterprise, client, product, geography) and ensure appropriate mitigating controls. Ensure regulatory compliance with applicable Luxembourg requirements and CSSF circulars, including maintaining strong audit trails. Liaise with the CSSF, auditors, and external counsel, and support regulatory requests and inspections. Deliver training and awareness to teams, and maintain records of training completion. Drive continuous improvement: streamline workflows, define control points, standardise templates, and strengthen quality checks. Standardise and automate compliance operations by defining requirements and partnering with Ops/IT to implement tooling, reporting, and dashboards. Requirements Proven experience in Luxembourg financial services compliance, including AML/CFT responsibilities. Prior experience acting as MLRO and/or RC (or strong track record to assume these functions) in a regulated or supervised environment. Demonstrated ability to satisfy CSSF validation expectations for the relevant function(s) (track record, credibility, documentation discipline, professional standing). Strong knowledge of Luxembourg AML law and applicable regulatory guidance (including CSSF circulars and sector practices). Strong judgement, independence, and ability to make and document risk-based decisions. Excellent written and spoken English. French is a strong advantage. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines across multiple mandates. Nice to Have Experience covering fund structures, securitisation vehicles, AIFM/ManCo environments, or corporate services. Exposure to transaction monitoring or complex remediation programs. Experience implementing compliance tooling, workflow automation, or data-driven controls (e.g., process mapping, KPIs, dashboards). Additional languages. What We Offer Key role with direct impact on client service delivery and regulatory readiness. Opportunity to build scalable compliance processes and automation. Collaborative environment with cross-functional teams. Competitive salary according to experience. During the final stages of the recruitment process, the selected candidate will be asked to provide supporting documents such as copies of diplomas and work certificates.
