Required skills:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in Test Automation.
• Proven track record as a QA Automation Engineer, specifically testing React Native applications across Web, iOS, and Android.
• Core Tooling: Hands-on, deep expertise with Playwright (for web automation) and Maestro (for mobile automation).
• CI/CD Integration: Experience hooking automated scripts into CI/CD pipelines (e.g.,GitHub Actions, Bitrise, CircleCI) to create automated deployment gates.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate seamlessly with a remote, fast-paced engineering team.

Will be a plus:

• Python Scripting: Experience writing scripts in Python to programmatically generate test data to feed into the pipeline.
• Backend Familiarity: Experience working with or testing against a Python/Django backend architecture to support end-to-end data flows and API testing.

Responsibilities:

This role is split into two primary scopes of work:

Feature-Driven Test Automation

• Shift-Left QA: Collaborate directly with the development team as new features are being written to design, build, and implement automated QA scripts in parallel with development.
• Cross-Platform Coverage: Expand and maintain our automated test coverage across our React Native ecosystem (Web, Android, and iOS).
• Tooling Expertise: Write robust, reliable test scripts utilizing Playwright for web components and Maestro for mobile apps.

Regression & CI/CD Pipeline Evolution

• Regression Support: Support and maintain the existing regression testing processes to ensure platform stability across all releases.
• Continuous Deployment Goals: Systematically build out and integrate automated test suites to establish strict CI/CD quality gates.
• Team Support: Act as a quality advocate and support the broader engineering team by identifying bugs early, reducing test flakiness, and streamlining the deployment lifecycle.
