Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Fellow Compassion's Fellowship program is a 9-month (September-May) opportunity for recent graduates and early career professionals to join innovative teams at Compassion in working on new and exciting projects in the organization. Fellows are entry-level contributors who are developed over these 9-months to be equipped to take the lead on projects in the future. Each Fellow is paired with a mentor who will offer them 1:1 coaching throughout this season with Compassion. They will also participate in various professional development opportunities such as conferences with other organizations, Q&A times with innovative Thought-Leaders at Compassion, and understanding their strengths and contributions in the workforce. Please Note: This is a remote, temporary position from September 2026 to May 2027. Compassion International is seeking a passionate and driven Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Fellow to support strategic initiatives that help demonstrate and communicate the impact of Compassion’s ministry around the world. This 9-month fellowship provides hands-on experience in evaluation, data analysis, learning, and reporting while contributing to key organizational priorities, including the development of Compassion’s Mission Impact Report. What will you do? Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer. Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur. Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors. Support the development of Compassion’s Mission Impact Report and other reports by analyzing, synthesizing, and communicating evidence of ministry impact. Assist with evaluation activities, including data review, interpretation, synthesis, and reporting across multiple programs and initiatives. Transform quantitative and qualitative findings into clear, compelling narratives for internal and external audiences. Translate technical research and evaluation results into accessible insights and recommendations for non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate with MEAL team members and cross-functional partners to support organizational learning and evidence-based decision-making. Contribute to the expansion of Compassion’s evaluation and learning capabilities through research, analysis, and knowledge-sharing activities. Help develop presentations, reports, and other communication products that effectively convey findings and impact stories. Engage with colleagues across diverse cultural contexts and may have opportunities to interact with Compassion national offices to support learning and evaluation initiatives. Receive coaching and mentorship from experienced MEAL professionals. What do you bring? Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Monitoring and Evaluation, Public Health, Education, International Development, Social Sciences, Statistics, Research Methods, or a related field. Coursework or academic experience in research methods, monitoring and evaluation methods, data analysis, or related disciplines. Foundational knowledge of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) concepts, frameworks, and practices. Experience analyzing and synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data. Strong analytical thinking and critical reasoning skills. Strong attention to detail. Excellent written communication skills with the ability to develop clear, concise reports and summaries. Ability to translate technical findings into meaningful insights for non-technical audiences. Familiarity with statistical concepts and completion of at least one statistics course. Demonstrated ability to organize information, identify patterns, and draw evidence-based conclusions. Cross-cultural agility and the ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds. Eagerness to learn, curiosity, and demonstrated self-starting initiative. Exceptional candidates will have… Master’s degree or graduate-level coursework in monitoring and evaluation, research methods, international development, public health, or a related field. Experience supporting program evaluations, impact assessments, or applied research projects in the international development space. Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools. Experience communicating evaluation findings to diverse stakeholder groups. Knowledge of international development, nonprofit, or humanitarian-sector monitoring and evaluation practices. Experience working with or supporting globally distributed teams and stakeholders. Interest in organizational learning, evidence generation, and impact measurement. Why work here?
