What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for skilled Mortgage Underwriters ready to make an immediate impact. What You’ll Do: Evaluate and underwrite mortgage loans for compliance with agency, investor, and internal guidelines Review credit, income, assets, tax returns, appraisals, title, insurance, fraud tools — and deliver clear, accurate credit decisions Document precise income and asset calculations and articulate well‑supported approval rationale Issue conditions and final decisions within established SLAs Review and clear conditions with accuracy and urgency Support pre‑funding audits, investor audits, and review‑desk inquiries Partner with Loan Officers, Processors, and Closers to ensure smooth, timely closings Stay current on guideline updates, regulatory changes, and industry best practices Contribute to QC reviews and continuous improvement across the department What You’ll Need: 5+ years current/recent frontline mortgage underwriting experience DE and/or SAR certifications preferred Deep knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and Jumbo guidelines Proficiency in LOS/AUS platforms (Encompass, DU, LPA) Strong analytical, credit, and risk assessment skills Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to stay sharp in a high volume environment A proactive, solutions focused mindset with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines High-speed internet required for remote work, Cable or Fiber ONLY with the ability to connect via Ethernet. Minimum speeds: 70/30 Mbps (basic), 200-300/35-70 Mbps (shared), 500-1,000/100+ Mbps (heavy use). **Please note that the compensation and benefit information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to applicable state and local laws on pay transparency. It is estimated based on what a successful applicant in the relevant state might be paid. ** Compensation: The hourly rate for this position ranges between $28 - $38 per hour plus bonus based upon individual performance. Annualized target compensation ranges from $67,000 - $140,000.
